I figure that the five families of New York are quite Sicilian in ancestry as many of their street guys are Sicilian born. That does not mean that all Sicilians must be stopped at the border.

I figure that Whitey Bulger's Winter Hill gang in Boston is mostly Irish-American as I am but that some may well be born on the auld sod. I really disfavor deporting the Irish born, just because some of Whitey's guys may be Irish born.

My wife is half Norwegian. I'll ask her when she gets home.

Narcotraficantes sounds pretty sinister. Would that tramnslate as narcotic traffickers in our ordinary language on this side of the border? I have no guess as to mojado. As to fingers, my middle finger tends to be more active than my pinkies, especially when my horn does not work.

I am sorry that a fine young man was killed in this incident and gratified that Mexican law enforcement apparently killed the killer. I was sorry when a fine African-American police detective in Rockford was butchered killed last year by a black punk when the detective was volunteering his time off duty to dissuade young people in his black neighborhood from cruising the streets at 3 AM.

What's the point? The Mexican killer was not moving here permanently. He crossed the border to engage in criminal behavior. He extended his way of life by murdering an American Park Ranger. Is the solution to exclude Mexicans? Geronimo's first (and I believe only but I could be wrong about that) wife and their children were killed by Mexicans. He spent the rest of his free life killing Mexicans out of revenge and crossing back to the US to the relative safety of the Apache mountain redoubts. That was Geronimo and not each and every Apache.

There is still nothing in the cited article to which I was responding indicating Mexican ancestry of those particular criminals. You have provided an article from another publication presumably as to a different incident. What's the point?

You have lost the borders, Spiff. You just refuse to accept the fact. Much better that America be the ideas, ideals and principles of its founders. That has worked very well to date and will continue to work well.

So how many more millions do you think will be enough? 10 million more? 40 million more? 85 million more. How many more million are enough?

Is it also OK for the Chinese and Russians or anyone else to enter illegally by waves of millions by any means necessary?

There are plenty of Mexican-Americans in Rockford. One, a former school board chairwoman, just ran a tight race for state representative as a socially conservative Republican against a black incumbent somewhat liberal Democrat in 2002. It was a bad year for the GOP here because of the outgoing crooked governor Lyin George Ryan who has apparently established: Pardon Me as the new state slogan. In a normal year, she would have won.

America is an idea and an ideal and not some membership club to kick people out of on the sorry grounds of looking or speaking differently.

Anybody, regardless of their nationality or ethnity, is allowed to legally enter the U.S. It doesn't matter that they look or speak differently. Any of these illegal aliens, who currently resort to sneaking across the border in the middle of the night, could have instead filled out and filed the necessary documents in order to be able to come to the U.S. legally. They just chose not to do that. Instead, they chose to violate our immigration laws. Now, when groups of American citizens patrol our southern border to try to prevent anybody, regardless of their nationality or ethnicity, from illegally crossing the border, individuals like you start shouting "racism!". It seems that your agenda is racemongering, and you are very good at it.

The more I look at a lot of this rhetoric, the more I feel that folks like Peter Brimelow (who runs VDARE), Jared Taylor (who runs American Renaissance), and Glenn Spencer (of American Patrol) are contributing just as much to the balkanization of America as some of the folks they are fear-mongering about.

I don't like people who try to balkanize my country - and I don't care if their last name is Brimelow, Sharpton, Jackson, Farrakhan, Spencer, Torres, Taylor, Duke, or Villagarosa. They are ALL in the wrong.

I am not surprised, personally. I once saw a poll that showed Hispanics were one of the most pro-life groups out there. Personally, I would not go out of the way to offend a potential source of strength for the pro-life movement.

As many more millions as are necessary to dump Roe vs. Wade. Clearly, Muffy and Skipper down in La Jolla aren't interested in ending the American holocaust. Nor is the Junior League.

If Chinese are fleeing communism, I think they should be treated like Cubans but we should exercise some care lest they infiltrate for purposes of the Red Chinese government.

I have few opinions on the Russians and they are not exactly swimming here in droves.

Our relevant questions are as to the US-Mexico and US-Canada borders and our coasts and our airports. The first two are impossible to control without ending American foreign policy and particularly the ability to use military force, a major goal of VDARE and the execrable antiwar.com. American Renaissance is and always has been beyond the pale.

BTW, we can have millions and millions more native born Americans born of native born Americans. All we have to do is overturn Roe vs. Wade and outlaw abortion. When that is done, there will be time to consider border controls. That's consider.

So they don't make citizens arrests! They are still engaging in risky activity and look like hapless Keystone Kops without billy clubs. Why DO they carry rifles? The boyz I saw on TV sure looked like beer guzzlers.

I don't know who you saw - maybe it was Ranch Rescue. ABP and CDP do not carry rifles. ABP carries video cameras and satellite uplinks. CDP carries concealed, personal sidearms for which they have undergone Federal background checks and screens, attended extensive training, and received a license to carry. If you saw CDP on TV they would look no different than any other group of hikers because that is what they are - legally.

For your perusal: an excerpt from today's Sierra Vista Herald. I included only the parts about Cochise County.

Increase in drug and people traffic: Drug smugglers fired at BP agents Sunday, Monday

COCHISE COUNTY -- Since the beginning of the year, U.S. Border Patrol agents have recorded an increase of both illegal immigrant and drug smuggling traffic along the border and signs are that those bringing in marijuana are becoming more dangerous, a spokesman for the agency's Tucson Sector said this morning.

On Sunday and Monday, agents in Cochise County were fired at by drug smugglers, Rob Daniels said.

Sunday, Naco Station agents attempted to stop a white Chevrolet Z-71 truck heading east on Border Road, Daniels said. The driver headed back toward Mexico, but the vehicle became stuck. The driver fled and made it back into Mexico where the drug smuggler fired at the agents. Agents found 1,165 pounds of marijuana inside the truck. Monday morning's incident happened at Cattleman Road near Douglas, he said. As agents approached the fence to stop some people from crossing the border, someone in the group fired at them. After the incident, agents found 168 pounds of marijuana on the American side near where the shots were fired.

Another incident involving the discovery of 157 pounds of marijuana on Saturday also included picking up a loaded semi-automatic handgun along Geronimo Trail Road northeast of Douglas, Daniels said.

For the first 13 days of this month, 7,951 pounds of marijuana were confiscated in Cochise County, with agents from the Douglas Station seizing 6,146 pounds, Naco Station, 1,623 pounds and Willcox Station, 182 pounds, Daniels said. Last year, the same 13-day period saw 1,192 pounds confiscated in the county.

Daniels noted there has been a 1,333 percent increase in marijuana discovered by Douglas Station agents this year compared to last year's 429 pounds.

As for illegal immigrant traffic, he said that too has increased during the first 13 days of this year, compared to the same period in 2002. "After the 6th (of January) we started to see increased activity," Daniels said. Many illegal immigrants from Mexico try to return to the United States after the traditional Feast of Three Kings, which celebrates the arrival of the three wisemen's visit to Christ. Many illegal immigrants return to Mexico for the Christmas holidays.

The total for the three stations in Cochise County is 4,075 apprehensions this year, or nearly half of all taken into custody in the Tucson Sector, which includes more than 260 miles of the border, compared to 3,338 last year during the first 13 days of January. Cochise County shares about 86 miles of border with Mexico.

Thanks for the compliment. Do you have anything to say about INS storing hundreds of thousands of submitted applications in Kansas warehouses without even reading them?

How many self-appointed buttinskis are patrolling the wide-open Canadian border which is much longer and over which terrorists have actually entered our country? Or the Atlantic, Pacific or Gulf coasts?

Gee, the defenders of the border looney tunes claim that they are just stalking their targets and reporting them to law enforcement. Now you say that they are "trying to prevent" those of any nationality from entering the US over its Mexican border. How many Norwegians are they tracking? How many Chinese? How many Bohemians? Any Finns? Oh, that's right! Its just Mexicans but that is just a coincidence, right? How could I have thought otherwise?

BTW, Peter Brimelow, apparently Honcho at VDARE, is himself a British immigrant but that's different. His wife is a Canadian immigrant, but that's different. Their child is described by Brimelow in his execrable screed, Alien Nation, as blue-eyed and blond-haired as he explains his determination that America in 2050 should look like little Brimelow.

Tally ho, thanks for letting the Brimelows into the US. Now let's make some rules to keep THEM out.

I spent two nights researching, among other things, the bigotry claims SPLC made against Glenn Spencer. Nothing panned out, two items were clearly demonstrated to be complete lies by other FR posters, and others were extremely vague as a means to add filler to their charges. Once again, I went into the exercise as a skeptic against Spencer and American Patrol. You're entitled to your opinion, but mine was changed by actual research.

I can vouch for Dirtboy's journey here. He spent a few days in a similar thread to this one a while back playing the Black Elk role and getting slammed for it. He did his homework now, has become better informed, and now seems to know what he's talking about.

If the shoe fits...

I did a little searching on Google... and the stuff I found verifies most of the claims SPLC is making. I do not agree with some of SPLCA's tactics, but in this case, they not appear to be lying.

And yes, I think ALL of the folks I names are balkanizing this country - some are white, some are black, and some are Hispanic. I treat bigots of ALL colors alike... JUST LIKE THE DOG CRAP THEY ARE!

I stand with Ronald Reagan when he said, "The ideals of our country leave no room whatsoever for intolerance, anti-Semitism, or bigotry of any kind -- none." That address was made at the convention of the Anti-Defamation League.

I also agree with him fully when he said, "We have no place for haters in America" in that same speech.

In my #161, I was replying to your #125 in which you labeled me "an enemy" of America. I figured that must be at least as bad as a Mexican crossing the border and that you might be inclined to hunt me down. Or don't you care about America enough to hunt her enemies?

America is largely empty. It is not by any means overcrowded.

When illegal aliens come to the U.S., they tend to head to cities like Los Angeles, New York City, Atlanta, Phoenix, and Houston, and other large and moderate sized cites. They tend not to head to cities like Elbow, Wyoming or Boondock, Mississippi. Yeah, maybe it wouldn't be so bad if all of these millions of illegal aliens all headed to a desolate part of Montana or South Dakota and built and settled a brand new large city there. But that is not happening. As more and more illegal aliens enter the U.S., our large and moderate sized cities are getting more and more crowded, and our taxpayer-funded city services are getting more and more overburdened.
