Actually, the song 'All I wanna Do' is based on a poem she read in a book. The song is almost word for word the same as the poem, and the poet still receives royalties for that song to this day.
'Leaving Las Vegas' isn't ripped off. But she did admit to being high or drunk when she recorded it.

Sheryl Crow Warns of 'Huge Karmic Retributions' If US Goes to War What makes Miss or Mrs Crow think that the targets of the war aren't getting karmic retributions for past evil?
To: Caliban
Owwww................ that was cold.....

Oh, now I get it, Sheryl. If you don't have any facts, and you don't know anything about the subject, you just back up you "opinions" and "feelings" by claiming that if things don't go "your way," it'll be "bad karma."
Got news for you sweetie. Nobody wants war, and I mean NOBODY. Not the President, not Rummy, not me, not you, not the dims, nor the Republicans. It is just that some people are smart enough to recognize that sometimes there just isn't a choice, that sometimes war is the only thing that a despot can understand. The schoolyard bully won't be appeased if you give him his way, he will just keep coming back for your lunch money again and again. If you want to get rid of him, somebody has to open up a can of whoop-ass and teach him a lesson.
See how Clinton "worked" with Kim Jong Il? That's appeasement, and we now know that it obviously didn't work.

Gee, Sheryl loved war when it was Billy boy bombing Yugoslavia. She even went with Hillary to Kosovo.

Thanks for the pix. I had no idea who she is--still don't--but at least I know what she looks like now :)
To: ewing
She apparently thought she was at the American Moron Awards.

FINISHES IN 3RD PLACE FOR THE NIGHT "Instant karma's gonna get you..." -- John Lennon (ironically enough)

WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER I think she doesn't have a clue what the question is.

What makes Miss or Mrs Crow think that the targets of the war aren't getting karmic retributions for past evil? Placing the word "think" within the same sentence as Ms Crow's name is a mistake.
But to place them side-by-side is simply inexcusable! Go to your room! LOL!

(IMO, she has one good song..the one about Steve McQueen)
To: T Minus Four
She actually said in an interview that "Kid Rock" was a musical genious. Her judgement in musical talent is about as bad as her political judgement.

Forget about what Sheryl Crow has to say about worldly issues. What has Carrott Topp had to say? That's what really matters.

Well, it appears the situation was more nuanced than I presented it. I apologize for any misrepresentation:
(from "Rock on the Net")
Along the way to success, Sheryl encountered some hardship as well. Sheryl told Rolling Stone: "It's unfortunate in some ways that the record did so well, because I lost friends over it." One of the "Tuesday Night Music Club's" members, David Baerwald was a friend of John O'Brien, author of Leaving Las Vegas. Sheryl's song of the same name was thought to be more of a product of Baerwald and O'Brien's words than Sheryl's life. Soon after Sheryl sang the song on Late Show With David Letterman and acknowledged to the host that the song was autobiographical, O'Brien committed suicide and a friendship was lost between Sheryl and Baerwald.
