[history]
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said last night that if the parties did not resolve a dispute over how to split committee funding by early today, he would attempt to appoint Republican committee chairmen and members without resolving the funding issue.

My point was that CNN seems to be actively concealing what the RATs in the Senate are doing, supporting your point. (One can't be sure -- Blitzer and his prompters are stupid enough to make a mistake about who are chairmen now.)

I take it an organizing resolution can't be passed because the RATs are threatening to filibuster it?
This would seem to be Frist's first opportunity to force the RATs to actually go through with a filibuster, speaking on the floor 24/7, with an opportunity to televise it all (and C-SPAN would be contractually obliged to cover it all.) And in the meantime all other Senate action would be blocked. Why not force the RATs to go through with it?

THE DEMONCRATS are still up to their old obstructionist ways and that is what cost them the Senate but they just cant help themselves. Although the election is almost two years away, I think that it is time we start advertising to the DemocRAT Senators who will be up for election that we aren't going to tolerate obstructionism.
Let the games begin.

Did anybody notice who chaired the Senate Commerce Committee hearing this morning? Was it Hollings or McCain?

These democrats are way beyond politics...They are the racists and hatemongers~Most of them don't have any life to go back to when they are voted out of office (like we hope Daschle will be in '04)...Sad, pathetic, and REALLY CRIMINAL behavior!

Let the games begin. Here's an idea:
Since Al and Tipper were so terribly upset by the FReepers chanting "Get Out Of Cheney's House" two years ago, why don't we see if those good people will fire up that bullhorn again and chant "Get Out Of Bill Frist's Chair."

Geesh!!
Asking the religious persuasion of someone is hardly a moronic thing. Lighten up. I think you owe Saundra Duffy an apology.

Frist needs to hillary-slap Daschole. Frist might well do that (we know that Lott, however, wouldn't think of it).

Frist is setting some very good precedents with moves like this. He is being forceful and direct and showing the rats there will be consequences. Daschle knows he is being busted for being the whiny, manipulative obstructionist that he is. Thank goodness we don't have Lott there caving in on this. We'd be waiting around for months for things to get organized. Ditto that.

She thinks that if someone has morals and integrity, they must be a Mormon. Kind of funny when you consider the lies and frauds upon which Mormonism is based.
