Well, I'm not sure what the policy of the University of Michigan has to do with this but I completely oppose it. It is racist to gave any group special treatmeat because of race.

Well, he's staying in new digs, I doubt if he's still wearing his cheap grey suit and I bet is face is just full of zits from stress, but that's a picture of one Matthew Hale, Pontifex Maximus of the World Church of the Creator. He's been unavoidably detained on his way to give his speech on Somali immigrants in Lewiston, Maine.

The bottom line is the WCC is not the ally of conservatives.

It's a response to this comment:

They actually look like the sea of brain-dead, pc, new-age, starbucks coffee drinking, anti-gun, anti-law enforcement, anti-meat eating, anti-Christian, soccer moms and dads I see on the left-coast.

After all, Hale's wearing a suit and tie, has a nice short haircut--he does only eat a raw foods diet, but I'm sure you can excuse him for that.

Just goes to show you can't tell a book by its cover.

So, you identify with the candle holders? No offense, just curious? Because the candle holders are saying we need to open the borders to the world's huddled masses.

Is there no middle ground between racism and naivete?

The anti-Somali sentiment is not because of their race, although that is what the papers would have you think. The people here are fed up with them because they are lazy, rude, violent, bottom feeding welfare grabbers. That's all there is to it. Yes, I would have problems with Canadians descending en masse to my community if they had the same kind of parasitic mind set that these Somalis have. I live in Lewiston, and it is absolutely ureal what has been going on here. No one agrees with the retarded supremacists, but they don't want the Somalis here, either. Because they are a drain on society, financially and emotionally. That is it in a nutshell.

The things the Somalis have done and are doing in this community are not making the news, because that would ruin the pretty victim picture. I can't stand these supremacist morons, but the Somalis brought this upon themselves when they declared they were here to stay and we were required to pay and shut up. Someone needs to stand up and say something, but thanks to the supremacists, any one who does is automatically shunned as a "racist". The Somalis have effectively castrated the community, and they did it on purpose. Now they can do whatever they want, and no one can stop it.

After seeing "Blackhawk down" I sure don't want any Somalis. The question we must ask is "How will this country be better if we keep importing Somalis?" I can't think of any one good reason for importing them. We already have too many people. I oppose immigration from ALL countries, and especially from hostile countries or coutnries whose culture would clash with ours.

"..and no one can stop it.."

Well said, and that was my point.

This supremacist reaction is the evolution of people who are tired of an impotent government flushing our future down the toilet. There is no justification for the Klan, et al, but enough is enough.

I would be there to protest the presence of Matt Hale and the racist and antisemitic World Church of the Creator in my town, for no other reason. Hale--and other groups--are exploiting the immigration issue for their own ends. If you would've read the article from the Boston Globe (I posted the url), you'd realize the people of Lewiston don't want Hale and they don't want the issue blurred by other groups with other agendas.

What would you do if Matt Hale (well, unless he makes bail in his solicitation of murder case, he won't be going anywhere for a while) and the World Church of the Creator came to town?

Good point, Dante. I'm no psychic, but I'll make a prediction. If GW doesn't get off his pc rear on this one, you're going to see a drastic increase in supremacist membership.

The pc maroons will, actually, be creating the problem they hope to eliminate. Enough is enough.

What would I do if hell (oops, sorry), Hale came to town? I would protest Hale. I wouldn't start waving a flag in support of that which Hale protests. That's my point.

We open our borders, not because these people (immigrants) have anything to offer, but because we baby-boomers want to show everyone how pc we are.

"..the people of Lewiston don't want Hale .."

But, they also don't want the Somalis. Period. The Somalis are dirty, dangerous and lazy. (cf, post 28)

"The spokesman, the Rev. John King of Newport News, Virginia, said the Lewiston protest would go ahead despite the arrest on Wednesday in Chicago of the Rev. Matt Hale on charges he tried to solicit the murder of U.S. District Court Judge Joan Humphrey Lefkow."

Hale is skillful in exploiting local issues into his own. He thrives on the chaos he creates. This isn't about immigration at all, at least not to this group. It's publicity, it's getting their message out, it's recruitment.

The presence of Hale's group in Lewiston has caused a backlash, an overreaction, and he and his group really don't care if it does. He's created an environment where the immigration issue cannot be discussed on a rational basis, but he doesn't care.

Of course, Hale does have other problems, his indictment for soliciting the murder of a judge being high on that list.

One can oppose the Somali immigration from many different perspectives. The following groups are just a few who should oppose them:
1. Environmentalits. They have argued that a population increase especially in countries such as ours is damaging since we use up nonrenewable resources at a much grater rate.
2. Those who oppose urban sprawl and destruction of our historic battle fields and scenic areas for tacky housing developments should oppose increased immigration.
3. Those offended that our military men--heroic men--were killed and their bodies dragged through the streets in Somali.
4. Americans who want to preserve our culture and our way of life might not want groups who would not want to assimilate.

Many other groups also oppose these immigrants. Just because some of these groups stand for things we don't like, does not mean that they are wrong on this issue.

...They seem like a literate, mostly educated, family oriented bunch...

If that were the case then one would think other cities and/or nations would be clammoring for these folk to immigrate to their lands.
As to seeming "like a literate, mostly educated" ...well, maybe among their native countrymen they might be, but let's face it Somali isn't exactly world famous when it come to quality education.
