'Course Fiona chewed a hole in the couch, which a real baby wouldn't do.

My Tom (6), 10 teeth at 8 months, gnawed all our wood furniture so it looks like we had rats.

Then our Sally (2) undid the seams on the sofa. The new sofa ...

Maybe a puppy would be less trouble, or at least grow out of it faster? :-)

I need to go to bed already, before Bubba expects to be fed again. All of y'all go make more conservative babies!

I've done my duty. We're waiting for some conservative grandchildren.

Have you tried a Baptist church? They often have impressive matchmaking apparatus.

Churches, in my experience, have been terrible places to meet people for dating.

Many single groups are nothing more than 'lonely heart clubs' where people sit around and complain about all their problems.

Others are cliquish to the point where independent folks simply will not tolerate their games, and hence leave.

And many are just too puritanical about dating (such as no kissing or discussing fantasies).

And of course, there is the small percentage of charlatans who act religious by quoting scripture and lying to women in churches. A lot of women are pretty gullible to this scheme.

The puppy probably won't wreck any of the cars either, when she gets to be a teenager :-) come to think of it.

Just because the NOW gang is pursuing two degrees and 10 years in the marketplace doesn't mean most women want that.

Most women don't know what they want. Once upon a time they knew, but now they're confused.

Somebody help me out here. There used to be a list of goals communists wanted to achieve in America to destroy our culture so as to prepare us to embrace communism. Among that list was the destruction of the family institutions.

And some of you here blame the court system and others for driving away men who otherwise might like to marry.

Hence, my question: Am I the only one who thinks there is a deliberate attempt to destroy the family by destroying the institution of marriage? Welfare did that for the poor, man of whom are black. The Court system and the culture of "do your own thing" are doing that for everyone else.

The author misses the point that destruction of the institution of marriage is a deliberate success by the communists. Or am I deluded?

>>Anyway, 20s is a bit young for me. I'll be 40 this year<<

23-28 is prime, whatever age you are, IMO.

Nice long article by a woman that ultimately says it's the man's fault.

Here's news for the author: Men are complete in themselves. They do not need women. Women, on the other hand, need men and children to be complete.

Men prefer to have a lifelong partner if she is loving, caring, and supportive. It is up to a woman to convince a man she is suitable.

But that's not the situation in America. We have an entire generation, and are well on the way to a second generation, of women who have been brain-washed into believing they are entitled to everything on demand.

Men don't marry that type of woman...boys do.

In my own personal experiences, it's the woman who is afraid of committment - not the man. Most of the guys I know, including myself, are sick of the crap that goes on Saturday nights at the bar. One-night-stands are at an all time high, but what I've seen suggests that it's the woman who's looking for the one-nighter, so she can go back to the bar the next night and try out another guy.

Actions like this contribute to the "guy confusion" factor. What the hell do they want us to do? Take them home for the night and try them out? It's enough to make someone throw their hands up and say, "it ain't worth the trouble."

Women changed the dating ritual to no-strings-attached intimacy. They wanted to be like men. Men went along with it because, well . . . duh!
Now women are whining about their failed social experiment and expecting men to go along with their new demands, but it's not gonna happen. Geeze, husbands hardly give into demands.
I have no sympathy. They took the fun out of my dating years. I could not get a boyfriend who did not expect no-strings-attached intimacy - in high school(!) and beyond (the current norm). I blamed the girls/women. I mean what was a guy going to do? Move on, of course.
Keep following those feelings, leftist women, but don't expect reality to step aside for you.

I work with a lot of single guys, many of whom are "players" at the clubs. Without exception, the guys are the ones who pick up women for sex, and the women are the ones interested in "relationships", calling the guys incessantly long after the guys have become bored with them, to the point of practically stalking the guys. The guys just laugh about it. Pathetic.

Then why isn't this true? Thanks to current custody laws, it makes little sense for a single man to have sex.

If having sex outside of marriage is "playing with fire"; then marrying the wrong person is "playing with fire to the tenth power".

Bingo! Women are the traditional gatekeepers, so to speak. Now they want to close the barn door, but the horses are long gone.

"women need to insist on a new courtship system "that respects a woman's biological and time clocks," she says.

But how do women go about "insisting" on a new courtship system? And exactly is the new system they should insist upon? How in hell does a courtship system respect a biological clock? I'm sorry, but my brain is starting to hurt in trying to understand the whole concept.
