[history]
President Bush yesterday accused Democrats of using "class warfare" to disparage his tax-cut plan.
He said opponents would exclude millions of middle-class taxpayers for being "the wrong people," as charged by Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle, South Dakota Democrat.
Highlighting his economic-stimulus proposal with a visit to a small flag-manufacturing company in Alexandria, the president said excluding groups of taxpayers because they are more successful or wealthy is inherently unfair.

Why is it a bad thing to cut taxes on corporations? Those corporations happen to be employers.
I TOTALLY support the Bush proposal. I don't give a r@t's ass if it stimulates the economy or not (but it will, BTW). The tax code is IMMORAL, too much tax money is is used to fund immoral/ineffective/wasteful government programs. The less money going into the treasury is just fine with me.

Excuse me? First of all, let's get this much straight -- according to any socialist/communist (like you, apparently) anyone with a non-government job is considered rich.
I can tell you that I make a fair penny in my field, but living in NY I lose 40% of it before I even get a paycheck, thanks to taxes.
A dividend tax cut last year would have saved me a few humndred dollars. Hardly enough to get the leather upholstery in the new Beemer this year. (sarcasm off).
Where did you get your numbers from?

"The president doesn't look at the American people and say, 'I'm from the government, I know who the right people are I'm from the government, I know who the wrong people are.' Wasn't that just the best quote?

Wasn't that just the best quote?I am very pleased to see the words of Daschle highlighted and disputed in this manner.
Yes, it is a great quote.

At last! We have a president willing to stand up to this un-American rhetoric from the dems.

You're right, it IS a great quote and unique to Bush. The Dems can try to spin it anyway they want in their famous blender and they'll come up with minced something which no one will be able to identify. It simply can't be spun.

At last! We have a president willing to stand up to this un-American rhetoric from the dems. Yes. Bush truly has strength and character; and he is greatly admired for it, even by those who do not agree with his policies. How can you not respect a man who means what he says, says what he means, and operates under a moral standard of right and wrong. It's still so refreshing after 8 years under the embarrassment we endured with Klintoon.

That's another thing that's so great with Bush....he throws their own words back at them, without the sugar-coating of his meaning, and the Rats and liberal commies are left there scratching their heads, stupified by the one whom they said was the stupid one and who they consistently and consistantly underestimate.
Now, who's the dumb ones?

In the most difficult times, we are receiving tax cuts. No one could even imagine it.
Just think, people able to spend their money on what they want and/or need rather than some politicians pork barrel item.

I hope it's starting to sink into Tommy's thick skull that he is not exactly relevant anymore.

Yes, exactly!
Dems scream every day in the Senate
and House--"WE MUST SPEND M*O*R*E!"
SPEND MORE!
AND MORE!(on almost everything)
But TAX CUTS?
Naaaaah.....can't afford them.
And all but the pooooorest don't
even need or deserve them.
(No class warfare/big government talk
from them, 'course not!)

I hope it's starting to sink into Tommy's thick skull that he is not exactly relevant anymore. If he were relevant anymore, people would still be throwing him curve balls instead of playing hard ball. His ego must be shot. He keeps getting more egg on his face every time he opens his d@mn mouth. I just truly love this.

Thanks for the ping!
Still have a hard time believing that daschle was so dumb to label us the "wrong people" -- the RATs, with ms. clinton in charge, seem to have a tin ear when it comes to politics and what to say!
Hope they keep it up!

Are you sure Daschole didn't mean the "Wong people"?
Chinese agents actually have to work to get a hold of our state secrets since Clin-Tong left office ;-)

What's stopping them???
Since Hillary and friend (that would be Bill) are probably in the upper bracket, they are free to give their tax cut to any charity that will do some good for the poorest (who don't pay any taxes anyways).
Oh, that would be Faith based initiative. Whoops!!!

Hope they keep it up! yw and I do too!
