First Quarter '03 FReepathon Now Underway

The Free Republic first quarter '03 FReepathon is now underway!

Our goal for this fundraiser is the same as last quarter: $65,000. We have about $4,000 per month coming in from monthly donors so we will need to raise approx $53,000 to hit the target.

The funds raised through these fundraisers are used to pay our operating costs. Free Republic operates on an approximate $260,000 annual budget (breakdown here) and all funds are provided by donations from FReepers and Lurkers.

P.S. We are planning to make FreeRepublic.com email addresses available as a thank you to all who donate at least once per year. This new feature should be ready to go within a few days. We will post a notice and a link for donors to setup their FR email address as soon as it's ready.

Just ask my 3.5 year old grand daughter about my span of control.

The day after Thanksgiving, she was in my lap teasing me about something as usual, I teased her back.

Then she said, "If you say that again Papa, you have to leave my house!"

My wife heard this and said, "Papa lives here, and you are visiting us!"

Then our three year old grand daughter said, "This is my house, and Papa had better behave and never say that again if he wants to stay!"

Her dad, my oldest son came close to falling of the couch that he had anchored down, and my DIL got red in the face. His mouth full of water from his water glass, went all over him and the couch. He then came close to choking while laughing. We found out that she had said the same thing to him two days before.

I gave my grand daughter a hug and asked if I could stay in "her" house. She said only if I apologized. Which I did.

So, Mud, that is the span of my control!

I was trying to deal with it before hubby got home from work yesterday and just haven't gotten around to having him deal with it today.

I'll get him to mess with it either later or tomorrow.

He's the one that built the box - so he should be able to fix the problem.

It is odd.
I new the software would not work with the winXP upgrade so went to poloroid and downloaded the program - which seems to be running fine but says there is no camera connected.
I'm thoroughly confused.

We had the same problems when we bought our new computer

For some odd reason XP would not pick up our older hardware .. found out later we had to search for new drivers .. then to find out that some of them didn't have new drivers .. so we ended up buying this software .. to fix the problem for us because the hubby got tried of looking for them

I can't remember the name of the software .. I have a call into the hubby and I'll get back to you
