The Democrats are in disarray because at the center of their counter proposal is a "working man's" tax cut. Imagine: the Democrats proposing a tax cut! I tell you folks, we've won! When the Dems can only counter with a tax cut of their own, we've won! Of course, a tax cut runs completely contrary to the typical Congressional Democrat mindset. So they are suffering from an identity crisis right now. The Democrat Party has stood for nothing for so long, they don't know what they stand for. Bush, I think, realizes this, and he should press his advantage through the confused opposition.

For a Democrat to even THINK about tax cuts is like a Packers fan saying "Go Vikes!"

When the Dems can only counter with a tax cut of their own, we've won! We have only "won" when the bill is passed and W is re-elected in 2004 with a majority in both Houses. Who would have ever guessed that Jimma Carter or Bill Clinton would have ever walked into the White House.
Too much compascency among Conservatives. Nothing is "won" until we see actual results. A dream is not reality.

Even Bill the Creep knew that the great majority of Democratic programs and iniatives were and are miserable failures. That's why he ran a stealth program trying to pass himself off as a moderate Dem and steal Republican policies.
