John, I live where I live so that I don't need to contend with the truth of this article, but I have no illusions as to what is happening nationwide. This is a small bastion of the America I remember (or as close as I can get to it). When there is no place left to live where our culture remains, maybe then we will do something about the disaterous immigration policies begun by LBJ.

And by then, sadly, it may be too late to do anything about it.

If our leaders wait just another few years to act on this crisis, it could very well be too late.

I do not believe what is happening to be an accident. I believe this massive invasion and lawlessness is being allowed to escalate on a nationwide basis. The people of the southwest have had enough. The rest of the country is just now starting to see the effects of this invasion of millions.

We run the very real risk of depressing our national standards to Third World levels. We could end up as Brazil, with an advanced industrial economy surrounded by stagnant pools of debased urban and rural squalor.

Rural, small town America shouldn't be romanticized into caricature; it is changing too, unfortunately.

All heads down.

I live on the front lines, and I see the truth of this article every day. We are on the verge of profound changes in the fabric of our society and our culture...and we are doing nothing to stop it.

We all deplore the loss of freedoms that we see today, but part of the reason for these losses is the lack of cultural commonality of the changing population - and so we substitute laws. Mexico and points south is a very different culture; and Texas is being annexed one illegal immigrant at a time.

But what the hey. Cheap labor above all, right?

Add Seattle to the cities turning into a sewer. We have huge Black gangs, Mexican gangs, Filipino gangs, Russian gangs, Ukrainian gangs, Vietnamese gangs, and probably a few more I don't know about. Oh yes, also add a LOT of militant followers of the religion of peace, and thousands of welfareite unwashed hippies still living as if it were the Sixties, always ready for a protest at the drop of a hat. A trip downtown will frequenly leave you wondering what country you're in.

As the robots and easily amused flock to the nightly "A day in the life of President Bush" threads. (Which is now somewhere around it's nightly 300 posts) . Hehehe, I would say we are in big trouble. Everyman for himself. LOL...

I know about Seattle. Its the same from Dallas to Nashville, to Atlanta, to Denver.

And we can all thank the two party cartel in DC.

The arty areas of Seattle are layed back places, hippie candle & tarot shops, risque bakeries, free clinics, herb-smelling eateries... all supported by hard-working taxpayers. The residents certainly seem peaceful enough, but since they don't support themselves, the least they can do is get out of the way of those who keep them free. Ingrates. Who do they think supports their lifestyles?

Unfortunately, I completely agree with you.....They know exactly what they are doing, and none of it is in the best interest of this country.

Can you imagine this lawlessness and invasion of millions upon millions going on in the 1950s?

It would have never been tolerated.
