Dear Friends and Family,

You may have heard in the news that a couple of Post Offices in TX have
been forced to take down small posters that say "IN GOD WE TRUST". The
law that they say that they are violating is something silly about
electioneering posters. (is God running for office?) Anyway, I heard
proposed on a radio station show, that we all write "IN GOD WE TRUST" on
the back of all our mail. After all, that is our national motto, and on all
the money we use to buy those stamps. I think it is a wonderful idea. We
must take back our nation from all the people that think that anything that
offends them should be removed.

If you like this idea, please pass it on, and DO IT.

Great idea. I can make address labels on my PC and I will make some and put them on everything I send out.

That just irks me when people complain about that. I recently had to right a paper for my American Politics class. This is a tiny bit of what I had inserted:

Mr. Justice Brennan explained his support for the phrase “under God” in the “School District v. Schempp” of 1963. Justice Brennan states:
The reference to divinity in the revised pledge of allegiance, for example, may merely recognize the historical fact that our Nation was believed to have been founded ‘under God.’ Thus, reciting the pledge may be no more a religious exercise than the reading of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, which contains an allusion to the same historical fact (School District v. Schempp 881).


What a great Idea to place In God We Trust on the Back of each envelope. Something I will start to do.

Sent out at least 12 letters yesterday and they all had "IN GOD WE TRUST" (they were bills, with lots of taxes included in them, phone, state, etc.) so I love this idea, my only ? is are you putting it on the front or the back?

Tee Hee, what a fun idea. I'll certainly do it on anything I send to Texas!

My letter carrier was so upset by the November election results that he stopped delivering my mail for three days till I called the post office and asked where my mail was. It must really bug him to deliver all the RNC and Republican candidate letters, NRA magazines, Army magazines, etc! And then seven Christmas cards from Republican candidates and the White House. Giggle!

How about someone seeing if they can print up a little seal saying "In God We Trust", like Easter seals that you stick on the back of your mail? I'd buy some.

It's not only the national motto, it's on my family crest, "Confido in Domino," so I would love to buy some stamps/seals with that written on them.
