As expected, President Bush announced his economic stimulus plan today in Chicago, and surprised many with how comprehensive and 'bold' it was. In the plan, 92 million taxpayers would receive, on average, a tax cut of $1,083 in 2003. The plan would also adjust the tax rates to 10%, 15%, 25%, 28%, 33%, 35%. Also today, the new Republican Senate majority was sworn in, and their first priority was to extend unemployment benefits, a plan the President supports. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Thanks.
The President not only proposed to cut my taxes today, he cut off the so-called "DemocRat issues" at the knees!

I reposted it again as I saw today's thread had been put up and I thought you wouldn't get a chance to see the last few posts of yesterday's thread.
A sad note Billie posted on FR's Finest that the freeper ofMagog lost his wife on Dec. 23rd. She had been suffering from COPD. Please pray for ofMagog and his family

Some of Rush's comments centered on Bush's upbeat attitude. In fact, Rush talked a lot about all conservatives' attitudes compared to liberals. Then he played some liberals, it was just pathetic.
And ... if you saw any of the dems on the TV, they were more than pathetic ... no smiles, no comforting words for America - they really don't care about us - they only care ab out their lost power.

The NOW thread? Are the misogynists out tonight?
You know, I was thinking about that crazy thread, and it reinforced to me how complex and deep we Conservative women are.....
There are a whole lot of active brain cells on this thread......logical thinking, complex reasoning capabilities. Then there's the compassionate more emotional side of us that worries about our President, how he's feeling, how he's holding up under the pressure.....that loves how he loves his wife and his girls and his Mom and Dad and siblings, and his dogs and his ranch.
And then there's that absolutely silly on-the-edge side that showed up last night!
No wonder men can't figure us out! LOL! We're strange creatures!

Yesterday the RNC chose NYC for it's nominating convention in 2004. It just keep rolling along. With the convention in NYC, Bush renominating Pickering, his economic plan, the war on Iraq, talks with North Korea, the dems unable to stall the UI benefits today and the dems lack of a viable presidential nomination has to have them in meltdown about now.

You work at Sonic? They just opened one near my house, and I am in BIG TROUBLE! We discovered them years ago travelling out west, and my son, now in his early 30's (I was a child bride) remembered them from when he was nine years old!
Loyal customeers for them here in central Indiana!

And I am happy to say that from what I can tell, every single person in my very large family will benefit from this tax plan! And they're all rich, right?

That just irks me when people complain about that. I recently had to right a paper for my American Politics class. This is a tiny bit of what I had inserted:
Mr. Justice Brennan explained his support for the phrase under God in the School District v. Schempp of 1963. Justice Brennan states:
The reference to divinity in the revised pledge of allegiance, for example, may merely recognize the historical fact that our Nation was believed to have been founded under God. Thus, reciting the pledge may be no more a religious exercise than the reading of Lincolns Gettysburg Address, which contains an allusion to the same historical fact (School District v. Schempp 881).
What a great Idea to place In God We Trust on the Back of each envelope. Something I will start to do.

hoosiermama,,, great idea to include In God we Trust on our mail. Thank you for bringing that forward.
MM: When you see the review of the Frum piece, will you try to remember to ping me to it? My work schedule is getting heavier, and next week I go on the road, so life is going to be hectic for the next few months.
I'll check in daily, but will be occupied in the evening with dinner meetings, etc.
