A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 1/7/03

As expected, President Bush announced his economic stimulus plan today in Chicago, and surprised many with how comprehensive and 'bold' it was. In the plan, 92 million taxpayers would receive, on average, a tax cut of $1,083 in 2003. The plan would also adjust the tax rates to 10%, 15%, 25%, 28%, 33%, 35%. Also today, the new Republican Senate majority was sworn in, and their first priority was to extend unemployment benefits, a plan the President supports. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Go figure. A guy named Daley supports the plan and a guy named McCain trashes it. McCain is done in Arizona in 2004.

So far 2003 seems to be off to a good start for Dubya. Let's hope that he has continued success with a REPUBLICAN HOUSE AND REPUBLICAN SENATE!!!!!!!!!

If the schedule is correct (and that's a big "if" with C-SPAN), the speech will be broadcast on C-SPAN at 11:09 PM (EST).

Hi, Rintense and everyone else!

I posted this on yesterday's thread to OWF in response to an earlier "assignment" she gave me, so I thought I'd post it on today's thread so all cold read it because it is some of my thoughts about the thread.

Posted by Pippin to ohioWfan On News/Activism 01/07/2003 9:27 PM EST #751 of 753 OWF! I read the entire thread! PHEW! Y'all sure had a grand time last night and today! WOW! 750 posts, a record breaker for sure! BTW, I never said this was a dull thread! In fact, this thread is the reason I signed up to post on FR and this thread from lat night/today was IMO one of the best ones of this daily thread. I wonder if Rintense had any idea that nearly two years later, her "baby" would still be kicking, LOL! I might not post as much as I'd like to, but I still lurk whenever possible. The one thing I like about the Dose (besides the wonderful pics of W and his family and Laura) are the people who post here. They are at once happy, witty, serious and always loving towards each other as well as showing thier fondness for GBW in ways that aren't mushy and borderline sappy. You treat him and Laura with such respect (that's not hard to do with this couple) I simply love the Dose and all you "Dosers" Y'all make me laugh, cry and think

Short interview with Frum did not seem as smarmy as Drudge portrayed it. Section9 has the book and will give a report when he is finished. Then we will know whether this is one we should buy or not.
