A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 1/7/03

As expected, President Bush announced his economic stimulus plan today in Chicago, and surprised many with how comprehensive and 'bold' it was. In the plan, 92 million taxpayers would receive, on average, a tax cut of $1,083 in 2003. The plan would also adjust the tax rates to 10%, 15%, 25%, 28%, 33%, 35%. Also today, the new Republican Senate majority was sworn in, and their first priority was to extend unemployment benefits, a plan the President supports. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I'm trying to find the happening with Frist, Santorum and Clinton today on C-Span. Was this after the swearing in portion?

And they're all rich, right?

Don't you know that anyone making over $40,000/year is rich according to the Dems. Of course, with their salaries and perks they sure wouldn't limit themselves to that.

I have had the flu, too...no appetite at all...not that I mind that, of course! I managed to sit at my computer all day and gloat over the President's speech and the renomination of both Pickering and Owen. What a wonderful day it has been for President Bush, Senator Frist and the Republican Party. Old Hillary tried to sandbag Senator Frist on the extension of unemployment benefits after agreeing to pass it last night and Frist won. A good day - a very good day!

I will ping you when I see an actual review. So far all I have seen is gossip. Frum was very positive about the President, and he explained that a good president is not necessarily one who knows every detail, but rather more like an artist, who brings elements together to make a picture. I thought that was quite interesting.

ALSO, KAREN HUGHES IS WRITING A BOOK. That is what Frum said.

Is that really Daley? And did he really support the President's plan? He is due to give a speech (at a Junior Achievement Economics event) here in the heavily democratic SE Texas area where I live. This'll be interesting to see what he says when he gets here

Pardon my locker room language, but our President does have a set doesn't he?

You know gramho, I have resisted using that phrase, but today........TODAY, it is SO appropriate!

Way to be a MAN, Mr President!! (Complete with ALL body parts!)

I've worked for Sonic for since my sophomore year in HS. I went off to Flagstaff for college and whenever I come back, they put me on the schedule. It's so great to work there, because everyone is like a family to me, and the food is great.

Ypu, It didn't Dubya too long to make a statement, On the first day of the new Congress he introduces a BOLD economic plan, as well as re-nominating the judges that were demogogued by the RATS.

Here is what's going to happen, While the democrats get all worked up over the yesterdays news, Bush will keep pounding them day after day with Conservative Judges, Economic proposals, Outlawing PBA, Puting an end to bogus law suits, Vigerously fighting to strike down the bad parts of CFR and the list goes on. He has the majority he wants and he has the mandate. It's time to rock.

The RATS are going to implode, Even the mainstream press will get tired of the baseless whining.

I want the tax cut now!!!!!!!!

Meanwhile, the RATs are running around singing their same old song...

Oompa Loompa doompadee doo
I've got another puzzle for you.
Oompa Loompa doompadah dee
If you are wise you'll listen to me.

Who do you blame when your wallet is flat?
Mangled and torn like a used door mat?
Blaming the rich is a wonderful plan
You know exactly who's the man
Clinton and the Democrats

Oompa loompa doompadee dah
If you're not rich then you will go far
You will live in equality too
Like the oompa loompa doompadee do
