Can the Rats filibuster indefinitely
Good question, but keep in mind a filibuster can be (polictically) dangerous to both sides. If I was a democrat I would be very careful about starting one. We have a popular president. We have troops on their way to put themselves in harm's way. They no longer have 100% of the media to spin their actions. So as Dirty Harry would say, "Do you feel lucky today?"
I can not say for sure, but I suspect a filibuster for any reason would in the end fail, only to make the Democrats looks worse then they do now.
At some point they are going to have to stop doing things that make them look bad (if we are lucky it will not be until after the next election.)

Here is what the President said about Trent after he stepped down. Yoohoo, Todd. I'm not interested in what George W. Bush had to say about Trent Lott.
Unlike you, I'm perfectly capable of making up my mind about somebody and putting my words into print without cutting and pasting.

Here's what I remember about filabusters from civics class.
A senator can stop a vote on a bill by filabustering it,(talking it to death). Said senator takes the floor and keeps talking until the senate gives up trying to vote or until the windbag can't go on talking any more. While the senator is talking the senate must stay in sesion and the other senators have to stay in the senate on call ready to vote as soon as the filabustering senator can't go on any longer or a call for cloture is called for. If cloture is called for and 60 votes are garnered, the filabuster stops, and the bill is voted on. If the filabustering senator can't go on, the bill is voted on.
What the lazy pimps we have as senators now do is threaten a filabuster, vote in lock step along party lines so 60 votes cannot be garnered and then the bill is dropped because these no good, over paid, fopish fools don't want to subject themselves to a few hours of unpleasantness, as they might miss a good party or a rendevouz with a mistress.

Or a limo ride and a choice office.

"I became a republican six years ago because of the absolute hatred and envy of the democrats. The people on this site who constantly refer to this man as pig and all sorts of nasty names make me wonder..."
We are on the honor system here, but it would wise to remember anyone can claim to be a conservative and then proceed to make a fool of themselves. If someone gets too out of hand, the moderator will take care of it.
I will not judge you by the writing of others, so why judge others by the writing of a few?

What's the deal about Lott not giving up his office or limo or driver?
I mean are those things perks for the majority leader? If so, wouldn't they as a matter of course go to Frist?
What's the story?

Yes, they are. And Lott seems to be dragging his feet moving out of his office; he even suggested that Frist just put a Majority Leader sign on the office he has now.

Of course your not interested in what he said about Lott because it does not fit in with you trashing Lott 24/7.

What did Dubbya do to Edwards.....?,,...for us cubicle bound Sorry for the inuendo, but I was merely referring to the re-appointment of Pickering. On the Senate Judiciary Committee, Edwards had been critical of and voted against Pickering. That's all. Still, it was a good nose-tweak of Edwards, who could very well become GW's opponent in 2004.
