Charles Pickering is one of 30 names submitted this afternoon by President Bush for nomination to the Federal bench...
This is exactly why Jim Robinson said that our target for the 2004 election besides re electing President Bush, expanding our control of the house, we need to bring our Senator Count up to at least 60!
When we have 60 senators, we can cloture the filibustering and really dismantle 5 decades of socialism and other evils put here by the Rat senators.
He's a pig.
As if.
Of course, his "source" *was* Carl at Newsmax.......LOL.
From your lips to Gods ears.
I look for Bobby Boy to blow a gasket, apoplexy, I think they call it.
Here's what I see...the Dems do not care one whit what is best for the economy, our national security, the unity of our people or America as a whole. They care only for POWER. That's why President Bush will win more often than not - because he truly is trying to do what is best. Since the clintons, the RATS have lost thier way. With hillary now the head of the powerful Steering Committee (which will be the voice against whatever the President proposes), the RATS will remain in that clinton web. The panic on their faces is because they cannot figure out what is wrong...why their message no longer resonates...we have Truth (Bush) vs. Lies (hillary/daschle, etc) - we will not win every battle because she will have the media...but the American people are not the same since 9-11...many have awakened from the deep sleep of the carefree 90's. Our President knows this.
Amen to that! Also, did you see Frist in action in the Senate today? Daschle and Demos tried to weasel out on an agreed deal, and he stood his ground, in a determined but gentlemanly way. What a pleasant change. As our President say, things seem to happen for a reason, and Lott said something at the wrong time that sealed his doom. And it appears so far Lott's demise is in the best interest of the Republicans now that we have Frist in there.
Time will tell, but I really liked the way he handled himself today.
We are going to have two fantastic months and then it will mostly be over except for digging graves for the rats who died on the field.
W and Frist are going to hit them so hard they won't know their deat till they hit the floor.
LOTT: I hope that maybe this bad experience for me, and the mistake I made, will wind up helping lead to better relations and improvements. And...
GORDON: Will you take a closer look at the people you align yourself with?
LOTT: Absolutely, I will. And I will listen to and talk to African-American leaders and African-American men and women across--and other minorities.
GORDON: But will you take another look at groups like the Council of Conservative Citizens?
LOTT: Absolutely. I--you know, I absolutely will do that.
GORDON: What about Charles Pickering, who you backed very strongly, quite frankly...
LOTT: Absolutely, yes.
GORDON: Absolutely...
LOTT: I did back him, because he is a fine man with an outstanding record who actually took risks with his own life to--in actions against the Klan.
GORDON: But you know where I'm going with that question.
LOTT: I do. Sure.
GORDON: You would take another look at him now?
LOTT: I know his heart. He is a good man and is not a racist or a segregationist in any way. The things--many of the things said against him he was not guilty of.
But having said that, you know, I'll have to weigh all of my actions differently and more carefully.
