Drug dealers use the same logic to defend their neighborhood empires.

As they say in the Navy, this is no $h*t! Raleigh's premier "gentlemen's" club (lol!), "Thee Doll House" ran radio ads during the Christmas holidays. If you brought a new, unwrapped toy on a certain night, you'd get free admission.
What did they call their charity drive?
Why, "Toys for Ta-Tas", of course.
I'm not kidding.

"Toys for Ta-Tas"Get outta here! LOL!

"Whether you're in the ball-bearing business or the adult entertainment club business, you've got a responsibility to give back to the community...Shouldn't he have said, "Whether you're in the ball-bearing business or the boob-baring business..."

I busted out laughing in the car when I heard it.
"Toys for Ta-Tas"
I'm sure the USMC wasn't p.o.'ed or offended, even though it is tasteless, but it really is quite funny.

Hey now, don't be picking on Thee Doll House! Lots of fine upstanding people work there. Including friends of mine.
But in my opinion, the strip bars here suck. I much prefer the Canadian Ballet!

Um.. What? What are they polishing again?

"Thee Doll House", LOL! Somebody tried to tell me how swanky it was in there (and I've been to another branch of Vinnie's Steakhouse and it's pretty good), but I told him, "I don't care if it has valet parking and a nice restaurant inside. You can dress it up all you want and call it a 'Gentlemen's Club' all you want, but as my Daddy says, it still ain't nothing but a damn titty bar."
Just so you'll know, I don't spit on those places or look down on the people who work there like some people do, and I didn't bat an eyelash when my husband went to a stag party at the "Gold Club: The Gentlemen's Club of the Millenium" (lol!) in Cary, but whenever people try to use euphemisms I remind them that it's still a titty bar. Or a strip joint with valet parking.

As far as Thee Doll House goes, yes, it is a titty bar. But compared to many of the ones I have been too it is far nicer than most. It is very clean and "high class" if you will in regardes to its decorations, design, and atmosphere.
I have seen some that make a backwood biker bar look classy.

Again, thanks!

Phillip Morris did the same thing, only after they gave $105m to charity, they spent $115m to tell everyone that they gave $105m to charity.

"He cited increased crime, Do strip clubs create crime or just relocate it?
decreased property values,
Nobody has a "right" to stable property values. Selling a house in a white neighborhood to a black family may decrease the market value of neighboring homes; should it therefore be illegal to sell to a black family?
health hazards
I just plain disbelieve that---titties are health hazards?
and urban blight
Do strip clubs create urban blight or just relocate it?
as secondary effects of strip clubs."

It brings tears to my eyes to hear lapdancers giving to charity. They do so much already.

Hey don't give Tony Soprano and his Badda Badda Bing business any ideas of how to get respectable. :)

Been there, done that! I think if they can contribute something then they should. These places have been around forever and they are not going away. A new fire engine is no little thing. If it saves a kid in a burning house then good on them !
