IMPORTANT NEWS FROM YOUR CRUISE COMMITTEE!!!

Ahoy there, Freepers! A post-holiday greeting from the cruise committee. Hope you all enoyed the Christmas and New Year's season.

Back to CRUISE NEWS today. Here's some tidings of great joy for all freepers thinking about signing up for our tropical vacation getaway on May 31 to the lush islands of the Caribbean.

Carnival Cruise line has notified us that it's giving our Freepers a $50 reduction in price per person! This includes new registrants as well as those already signed up.

You still have to register with your $250 deposit to hold your cabin, but each of you can deduct $50 per person from your final payment before the cruise. Rates may be viewed by clicking the "cabin fares" link provided at the top of this thread.

Again, if you're already registered, you will save $50 per person on your final payment, so don't forget to deduct it.

This will be good news for a four-member Freeper family already signed up who will realize a $200 saving, LOL!

Sign up now on the form provided in the "registration" link and send it in today while our group rates still hold. After January 27 the cruise line has the option of picking off cabins from our reserved block for other potential customers if needed. We can't guarantee the availability of cabins and our special group price after the end of the month.

Please note the dates on the registration form are now changed. Deposit of $250 is not due till January 27, 2003. Final payment is due March 14, 2003.

So don't delay getting your deposit in if you want to be a Freeper Cruiser. There's nothing we can do about the cut-off date. No cruise line will hold unreserved cabins in a reserved group block forever if other customers are clamoring. It's the free enterprise system at work.

Your immediate deposit will secure your cabin and our special group rate. The remainder of the fare is not due till March 14.

If you have any questions, please post them on the Bahama Mama Q & A thread (link at the top) so that your ever-lovin' Mama can keep things organized and folks know right where to go for instant answers to their cruise questions.

FReeps Ahoy!

I was browsing the FR archives and came upon a thread of comments made by Freeper Cruisers after last year's terrific "Escape to Freeper Island" cruise event. Here are some excerpts:

"You HAVE to come on the next cruise - it was fantastic! I didn't know that anything could be so.....well, a description or statement is just so inadequate. You just have to come!!!"

"We had a great time. We cannardly wait for the next cruise!"

"I'm ready to go again tomorrow!"

"The 'Rats (over on the DU website) are not happy. They wish they could have gone on the cruise!"

"We are all counting on it, Bigun
And we cannardly wait for the nextun
'Cause when Freepers cruise
And party, mix and schmooz
The result will always be good nuze!"

"I think it's cool to have the kids come, too. I'm going to try to bring one of my grandkids next cruise."

"The cruise was more than I could have imagined, in more ways than I could possibly say!"

"This great cruise was way too short. Hope the next one is longer".

Well, your wish was our command and this will be a one-weeker!

We cannardly wait to post some more enthusiastic comments from the last cruise. Stay tuned!

Leni
