Watch me start a fight....Heheheh...

The worst call all year was in the Ohio Sate-Michigan game. The officials called an offensive pass interference in the end zone on a Michigan player. Gamble clearly, simply, utterly....slipped... on... his... own.

Without that call, Georgia plays for #1 and Tressel is as bad a coach as Cooper for one year....

Ok, ok...lighten up OSU fans! :-)....

Good night all...congrats Bucks, you earned it!

Lived on both coasts and in Ohio watching football and nothing compares to a couple of our crews out here in the Big 12! Biggest difference is that they are usually just bad all the way around and give some of the strangest signals for penalities you have ever seen!

You bring out two excellent examples. The list is endless. I was serious when I said I think we have some of the worst officiating crews!

****I just wish you guys would have thumped Auburn..... ****

**We did. ;)**

Well, that must make you a Trojan, a Razorback, a Gator, or a Bulldog - although the only real thumpin' we took was by the Razorbacks.

I will say this: in the coming days/weeks/months, give a listen to Jim Tressel. He's a quality guy and one of the good things happening at Ohio State. The University at this point is SO PC it's incredible, while Tressel tells the truth and lives out what he believes in.

I heard him speak in a small group setting and found his message inspiring and motivating. The message was: Know the Lord, Love the Lord and Serve the Lord.

I'm an OSU grad ('95) and not a big fan of the sports program but I like Tressel. I hope this will give him an opportunity to positively impact more young people in the future.

I've been watching the local news people, and they're slobbering all over themselves with local reaction, any potential disturbances (some arrests, some dumpster fires in the campus area...).

There isn't a whole lot that goes on in central Ohio, but the big thing and the ONLY thing are the football Buckeyes. And tonight it's their night. Congratulations, Buckeyes! They believed in themselves and did it as a team.

National Champions!

I saw that call -- bad call is right in the Michigan game! Seems the Buckeyes according to sports reporters had quite a few of those this year.

Thanks! It was a BIG win over a quality team and coach. Reminded me of football from the '60s.

That was probably one of the best football games I've EVER seen. Jim Tressel said it best saying "Miami played a great game and shouldnt hang their heads." I think thats the quote.. Anyways, I live in Ohio and a national championship was in the works for a LONG time. The recent fiesta bowl was a game of chivalry, not bad blood. Both teams shed tears and blood. Absolutely great game.

BTW, did you guys see the Miami player who's thigh bent backwards? I hope his careers not scrapped.

Nope, Florida has people willing to fight not to have a victory stolen from them.

Is that really Floridians? I heard they were people from out of state flown in. Of course that's what the rats claim.

From this ESPN article

Trailing 24-17, Ohio State (14-0) converted a fourth-and-14 on a pass by Krenzel. But the Buckeyes then faced a fourth-and-3 at the 5 when Krenzel threw to the right corner of the end zone for Chris Gamble, who was being covered Glenn Sharpe.

As Gamble reached back for the ball, he got his hands on it but couldn't hold on. Seconds later, field judge Terry Porter threw a flag from the back of the end zone indicating pass interference even as Miami players and fans spilled onto the field.

"He was holding me. He was in my facemask and my shoulder pads,'' Gamble said. "I was waiting for the flag, but he kind of hesitated. I didn't see him going for the flag and I thought, `He ain't going to throw it.' Luckily, he did, and I'm like, `whew.'''

Porter said: "I saw the guy holding the guy prior to the ball being in the air. He was still holding him, pulling him down while the ball was in the air.''

Order was restored quickly, and three plays later Krenzel scored from the 1 to send the game to a second OT.

I was outside, and I know that the people outside were all locals.

My brother was inside, he's a native Floridian.

It may have been said already -I may have missed it.

Jim Tressel and Larry Coker are two of the finest coaches and gentlemen one can find. They earned their way to the top of college football. CLASS - PURE CLASS!

My opinion is that the game should have ended in a 17-17 tie.

But, since they have that abomination of overtime, the indisputable fact is that Miami failed to force a third overtime!

Congrats to the Buckeyes!!!

Why did it take Porter so long to toss his flag?

You posted 35 yards against SC in the second half. That's pretty real.
