But had you played Iowa when they were hot...you would have been smacked IMHO. Yeah, that's what Miami said.
One thing you can't argue is 14-0. That's 14 wins, NO LOSSES. Can Iowa say that?

**You should watch ESPN.**
I try not to, unless my team is on and I can't attend the game. I used to think they were the best. Then they SOLD OUT - to ABC who's owned by Disney. Now I call them Espn, capital "E" for entertainment!
Ron Franklin and Mike Gottfried are still the best announcers in the business! IMHO

I am very partial to Oklahoma versus FSU in 1999 as well! That was one fantastic game! Maybe even more so since I am a Sooner fan!

JoePa is truly awesome....they will be good next year too.
You have to go play there next year.
:-)

On your MPEG of the disputed play, it was about 5 inches wide and two inches tall. On my end at least.

****The AP may (and OSU fans) may recognize them as champs, but I don't. ****
Somehow...we'll get over that..GO BUCKS!

JoePa is truly awesome....they will be good next year too. I really like Zack Mills. Since he started over Seneca it's been a very good team.
That's a great game to look forward to....

It was one of the best national championship games I've seen ... the four-down stand at the one rivals Barry Krauses stop of the Penn state fullback on the one yardline, years ago (to a died in the wool Bama fan from way back, that is one of the most memorable moments in 'Bryant' history). And yes, there were a lot of missed calls, especially when Miami held so obviously to prevent the OSU wideout from making his break on the third and long that netted a punt and long Miami runback (which also featured a Miami block int he back that went uncalled and Miami tied the game. Bottom line?... Ohio State University earned the National Championship. Good on 'um!

You would have to witness our Big 12 officials to know what a holding, pass interference penalty was. I swear they make it up as they go.
We had a penalty one time for 15 yards unsportsmanlike and the game hadn't even started. Two brothers -- a Sooner and a Red Raider met in the center of the field before the game and we got flagged!

I just wish you guys would have thumped Auburn.....

Thanks....when I started working here I had a job where I talked to people at our offices in florida alot and I was struck by how rude they were...that all!

So you think the Trojans got screwed?Nah. But they sure looked better than those two teams.

And how about that knee injury??? YEEEEEOOOOOWWWWWCCHHHH!!! Yeah and Magahee was passing out fliers for a championship party with his picture on it too.
To: chimera
No...but watching both teams, you were very fortunate not to play them.
Hey...enjoy it, you won!
It was a great game.

On your MPEG of the disputed play, it was about 5 inches wide and two inches tall. On my end at least.Really......it looks within normal proportions for me....
hmmmmmm?
anybody else?
To: MHGinTN
You noticed that illegal block too? I didn't want to bring it up because those are very often hard to catch during run backs. But I guess if the whiners need to be smacked down a bit, it's good to remind them of it.

As much as I don't like Miami, they do play in a competitive conference. V-Tech, Pitt, BC, Syracuse and West Virginiaare certainly not the MAC, or that conference that mopped up the dregs of the old Southwest conference.
While the Big East looked awful in the bowls this year, they've been known to kick butt and take names. Ask any Irish fan about BC and Pitt.
Both Miami and Ohio State had played a number of close games against respective conference rivals and proved themselves to be both champions in my view.
Now if you want overrated pansy divisions, look to the west, USC notwithstanding.

**What amazed me is what nerves of steel these two teams showed. What great leaders quarterbacking both teams. Truly a classic game. Congrats to Ohio State.**
Tall_Texan, you say it so well.

****Welcome to the world of Big 12 officials -- the absolute worst officials in the NCAA! *****
I am sure every conference feels their conference refs are the worst...I remember a basketball game at Univ if Iowa and the fans did not like the calls and they started chanting "these refs suck".
