If orangutans can learn culture, why can't we teach liberals common sense?

"Galdikas said 90 percent of the ape population has disappeared in 50 years and there are only 15,000 to 20,000 of the animals left in the wild."

NAH.....they all moved to Wash. DC and are liberals.

Pearls are cultured; orangutans are feral.

The loss of habitat in Southeast Asia and other problems have pushed the orangutan toward extinction. Galdikas said 90 percent of the ape population has disappeared in 50 years and there are only 15,000 to 20,000 of the animals left in the wild.

Is that why they tried to inhabit the White House from 1992 - 2000?

Shalom.

It's going to be a real challenge for Galdikas and her colleagues to continue their studies in the midst of dwindling orang populations. At least she's had the last 30 years to record her observations. If it weren't for Louis Leakey, there would have been no Goodall, Galdikas or Fossey to have pioneered all the great ape studies in the wild.
