CROWLEY: A quick look now at politics and the media.

The continued popularity of conservative voices like Rush Limbaugh has Democrats wondering how to create a media megaphone of their own.

Senior analyst Jeff Greenfield has some thoughts. He is with me now from New York -- Jeff.

Yes, they are Fair and Balanced, but one of the biggest reasons that FOX is most watched is the anchors. They are articulate and great looking. And I'm not just talking about the women - Bret Hume, Hannity, Cavuto are not bad to look at.

a kind of modern-day pamphleteering, that does not have any real equivalent on the left.
Hugely slow to catch on... They just don't get it, they DON'T know America. Hope they ALL spend their $ buying a massive "liberal" media outlet. (Like THAT hasn't already been done lol) Throw the old moolas down the black hole...great idea! hehehe

Texas Eagle has it right. I also have no idea what the Republican agenda is. But I know what the Democrat agenda is, and that's enough to get me to vote Republican.

It is becoming more and more apparent that voting Republican is the surest way of implementing the RAT agenda.

What conservatives like Rush Limbaugh have done is to figure out to make their views entertaining and compelling to large audiences.

The challenge before the 'rats is figuring out how to make ideas like baby-killing and election fraud "entertaining and compelling." Also, when you are so paranoid about being politically correct, that pretty much eliminates a chance to be entertaining.

Brit Hume, Hannity, Cavuto are not bad to look at.

And they are real men, not girly-boys like Pretty Petah Jennings et al.

As a conservative, after many years of reading liberal newspapers like the NYTimes, I simply stopped reading them. Then I got tired of liberal TV news shows and cut them out. I'm a devoted Rush Limbaugh fan and have been for many years and I thank God for him and bless the medical profession who restored his hearing.

Then I discovered FreeRepublic and FoxNews. Now I'm happy!

Is it conservative for Fox to cover issues that the other nets don't? Like Klamath basin or the idiot Gore floating his canoe with millions of gallons of water.

I guess enlightening people to the dumbassed ideas in government and politics is conservative then. The smug self-involvement is what I hate from smirking jerks like Schneider and Greenfield and Russert. Russert's kids go to the same private school that Gore's kids went to and he sees nothing hypocritical about it. We all want to send our kids to the best schools...but to not even blink???

How about that "working dinner" than that ABC guy John Cochran had with AlGore Jeff? Remember how he said, on Fox, that it would lead to a story on the campaign...never saw that story. Did that deserved to be covered by anybody...only Fox did.

They just hate not having full power over information...

To all

It's not the entertainment value, it's not the messengers it's the message!

Liberals cannot argue or present a lasting case on any issue because it's based on a shallow point of view, short of substance, based on lies and with little social value.

They would never be able to defend their positions against a "call in" public, who has more wit and insight to what's really wrong with america.

They would stack the calls with those that have the same pro liberal idealogy.

THEY KNOW NO OTHER WAY TO PLAY THE GAME>

Al Gore talked about it. Senator Democratic leader Tom Daschle complained about it. And now Democrats and liberals want to do something about it. It is a conservative media network that is getting the Republican message out these days.

The reason that CNN ran this segment has nothing to do with Gore's or Daschle's tantrums - and everything to do with the fact that the NY Times ran that article yesterday (or was it the day before?). Just another in a long line of "manufactured" stories that make their way above the fold. Clearly, CNN (and the rest of the leftist media outlets) get their marching orders from the NY Times. Not just on this topic.

It's really comical - Greenfield is so totally immersed in it that he can't even see his role as a bit player in the media puppet show orchestrated by the left.

The big difference is that the conservative broadcasters LOVE America, and say so, while the liberal ones HATE America, but won't say so. They just slant thier news that way, and it is obvious.

Al Gore talked about it. Senator Democratic leader Tom Daschle complained about it. And now Democrats and liberals want to do something about it.

Yet Rush, and a number of others, including Demo senators, said the problem was getting out A message, let alone a popular one.

I see this article as another step in the Daschle/McAufliffe disinfo struggle to deflect attention away from their failings as leaders.

Everyday I'm grateful that Fox News is available as an alternative to left wing liberal biased news sources. I will caution, however, that the US is the only place Fox reigns over CNN. It's a big world out there and CNN has brilliantly placed itself in the global marketplace as the main news source in cable news outside the US.

I've mentioned CNN's Anti-American newscasts before on other threads, but it bears repeating. Are you aware that CNN has completely different broadcasts from what we get here in the USA that air all over the globe? Are you aware that their news stories are constantly filled with Anti-American propaganda, left wing puff pieces about the Kyoto Treaty and Global Warming? We are greedy, fat and lazy, and hell bent on destroying the earth. Seriously, I was not aware of this until I left the country on vacation and watched CNN broadcasts while in utter shock (and yes, it almost ruined my trip). I'm not talking about the usual left-wing pablum that CNN routinely broadcasts here in the US, I'm talking about hardcore Anti-American "news" pieces that are clearly designed to make folks in other countries hate the USA!

According to CNN's "abroad" preaching doctrine, Americans are always up to no good. No wonder the world hates America and is fastly becoming more and more anti-American! CNN's 24 hr transmission of world news, heavy on the negativity for any and all things American, is finally reaping the rewards CNN set out to attain.

Until Fox News decides to go head to head with CNN on a global basis, the commie left wing American haters will continue to grow. And that, folks, is something that needs to be overcome! We need to channel some of our conservative talent on a global basis. Seriously, we are winning in the arena of ideas here at home. Now, it's time to go GLOBAL, and not a minute too soon!!!!!

I don't have ANY television in my house, and haven't for three years now.

I go to FR, and listen to Rush, Schnit, Savage, and Hannity on radio. Also do Washington Times on the net.
