CROWLEY: A quick look now at politics and the media.
The continued popularity of conservative voices like Rush Limbaugh has Democrats wondering how to create a media megaphone of their own.
Senior analyst Jeff Greenfield has some thoughts. He is with me now from New York -- Jeff.

to Fox News, which has grown into the most watched cable news outlet.
I bet the CNN producers cringed when they heard Greenfield admit this.

At first, CNN thought Fox News was surging in the ratings because they had better graphics. So CNN copied a lot of Fox News' graphics and guess what? They are STILL plunging in the ratings.

I just love watching this. It's like watching a bunch of little kids playing dress up. They think if they pretend long enough that the republicans have a powerful media the public will buy it. Unfortunately, it's the public that decided long ago that there was such a liberal slant to the news they no longer watch it. Or at least they didn't until FOX came along. CNN can pretend FOX is conservative all they want, but the truth is, the people have decided that they are FAIR and BALANCED.
To: PJ-Comix
It is a conservative media network that is getting the Republican message out these days.Uhhhhh....I watch FOX, listen to Rush and read the Washington Times and I have no idea what the Republican agenda is.

figure out to make their views entertaining and compelling to large audiences As long as they keep thinking like this they are doomed...
Same reasons the Libs lost the midterm...
MEMO TO MORON LEFTISTS: ITS NOT THE MESSENGERS, ITS THE MESSAGE

Oh come on people, Fox may be the most watched, but it is still globalist propaganda with conservative frosting.
To: PJ-Comix
Actually, I think FOX's graphics suck.
But their reporting -- their substance -- beats CNNCBSNBCABCPMSNBC hands down.
To: PJ-Comix
What conservatives like Rush Limbaugh have done is to figure out to make their views entertaining and compelling to large audiences. Their secret: Truth and Logic.

Haven't you heard? It is "stealing the DemocRats' issues". Unfortunately, they are "stealing" them by giving them everything they want.
To: PJ-Comix
HA! I foregot about their "make-over"...they touted that for weeks....a whole lotta good it did them.
To: PJ-Comix
Over the years, that charge has become an article of faith among many conservative press critics. They cite surveys showing that the overwhelming majority of journalists vote Democratic and hold liberal beliefs, especially on social issues such as abortion. Former CBS News man Bernard Goldberg had a huge best-seller last year with the book alleging and titled "Bias." CNN conveniently neglects to mention that little organ of the far-Left: HOLLYWOOD.
Even in covering Liberal bias, they're biased!
To: PJ-Comix
The problem for the liberals is that, one, if they finally figure it out they will still lose or, two, if they don't figure it out and try to resurrect a Jim Hightower or Mario Cuomo, they will still lose. It's called a "No win situation".
Pity.

Haven't you heard? It is "stealing the DemocRats' issues".That's right! I forgot all about that. President Bush's strategy was to cave on every RAT issue in order to get it out of the way before the campaign began in earnest.
Yo, Prez! The election is over! YOU won!

We NEVER hear any discussion in the lame-stream media of NPR and the various (left wing extremist) talk shows that have taken root there.

Turning it around to claim conservative bias. Only a liberal will buy it, so they're still preaching to the choir.
Amusingly, I saw ads today on FNC touting an online service which allows you to find and book hotels based on which ones carry FNC on their in-house cable. That's a riot.

Thank goodness for Brit, Tony, Bill, Sean, et al...
The voices of knowledge, intelligence and reason.
CNN (Clinton News Network) is going down the tubes.

No no no ! It IS the messengers. That is the correct viewpoint. Ideas mean nothing, the truth less. It's who's in power who rules reality. Power power power. Rush is a better entertainer...like a clown, or comedian. Find a better clown to be more entertaining to the stupid. They vote. We must rule. That is ALL that matters. We are good, and anything we do wrong or get caught at was necessary, because we only did it for the sake of the economy, and the stupid. Good thing they have such smart and enlightened, self-sacrificing leaders. It takes a village, you know...RUN by somebody !

I agree completely and in truth am shocked at their ignorance of this. Everyone tries to paint Rush as a clown or simple entertainer that they don't take him seriously shows their complete detachment from reality. I understand it and I am not even a ditto head.
