Hillary wants any and all of them to be sacrificial lambs for 2004. She is waiting for re-election in 2006, followed by a presidential run in 2008 when there is no incumbent.

Ha ha, it cracks me up that the good Samaritan doctor, Senator Frist is knocking Johnny Boy off the front page.

Of course, I did hear that Edwards was the second Senator on the scene of the accident offering to sue Frist for the survivors.

Northeastern ice maidens are having orgasms alone after just one sight of Pretty Boy on TV.

Did anyone see Marra Liasson on Fox?

Southern girls know his type, wouldn't have him on toast.

Fineman also said she probably could get the democratic nomnination in a NY Minute but she knows she would get beat in the general election in '04. I think she is keeping her powder dry in the event Bush stumbles. If she can find a way, she does not want to wait til '08.

A trial lawyer will have millions behind him. How did he earn his money? Medical malpractice?

Edwards announcement signals the democrats don’t think they can retake control of the senate in ’04.

keeeerist..I just heard it on FOX.

It sounded just like albore...he's an albore light.

Everything for the "little people". IF I had any doubts about this clown, they're all gone now.

From what little I know of him, I'm getting a strong Clinton vibe.

I'm getting a strong JFK vibe. Watch his hands. He's going to try the JFK imitation.

I don't know that I can go that far yet but definitely an algore lite.

His signature trial "victory" was in a law suite against a pool company for the plaintiff, a young girl, who had her intestines sucked out when she was caught by excessive suction from a baby pool drain.

"I think they want me to be their Senator?"

I think he needs to think again; now that he's come out with it, the people of this state have the confirmation that has been missing: we're just a state for him to run from.

"I'll make a decision later to run for Senator. My Senate seat is up for election in 2003."

This could be a twofer; he could be so unpopular in both categories that he doesn't run in 2004 for senator and just concentrate ALL his time on running for 2008.

Can you say SMACK DOWN?

This has been all over the news here in Raleigh the last two days; why, imagine this: Edwards was actually IN Raleigh, North Carolina, his hometown, for FOUR WHOLE DAYS this week........the part that they forgot to include was that he is NOT meeting and greeting his constituents. ALL his scheduled appearances are FUND RAISERS.

The local channels ALL had live broadcasts from outside his house yesterday.....and all reported that when the Edwards had "some friends" over, a LOUD ROAR was heard from the house about 6 P.M., supposedly when he told all his "friends, supporters, hanger-on-ers" that he WAS going to run.

He's running. He is now the owner of the second most expensive home in D.C., after John Kerry -- who lives in Heinz's house -- he is NOT planning on coming back to N.C.

I saw that.....it made me SICK.......we are going to fight this guy BIG TIME!

From this article:

N.C. history in the making

"This is the first big league [campaign]," said Rufus Edmisten, the former secretary of state, who said the media swarm reminded him of the days when he was a counsel on the Senate Watergate committee investigating President Nixon in the early 1970s.

Wannabees. Gawd, this is going to be AWFUL. Just dreadful. All those people we've fought for YEARS are swarming around!

And do NOT miss this: Tell WRAL what you think

And check this out: You too can vote!

From the local Time Warner cable web site:

Recent polls show less than 40 percent of North Carolinians support his bid for the presidency. Edwards said that's because they want to keep him as their senator.

Oh, yeah.

"I've been thinking about North Carolina and the nation and what effect it's going to have on my family," he said as his two youngest children (media props) clung to his hands. "There is nothing more important in the world to me than my family."

Let me just go ahead and say this now:

Where DID he send his wife to get her that thin? She has lost a HUGE amount of weight, in anticipation of his running, no doubt.

And I join in others who want to know why he, of all people, never sued over his son's death.

Geez, look at all the local web sites, N&O, WRAL, ABC11, Channel 14....they have ALL set up pages JUST for Edwards.

Gawd, I'm gonna die before this is over.

I'd personally love to know the list of ALL the people who attended this little soiree.
I think I saw another article that said Walter Dellinger, Clinton's Solicitor General (and law professor at Duke), was present.
