I was so disappointed when Al Bore bowed out. Come on dems, pile on those polarizing figures who stand for nothing.
Happy New (old) Year!

Happily, anyone can run for the office of the President.
But only a few can stand in the shoulder to shoulder with giants.
Here's to you, America
God Bless our Home,
the Land of the Free
and the Home of the Brave
Happy New Year--2003

Yipppppeeeeee!!!!
You know what this means don't you??
It means HE HAS TO GIVE UP HIS SENATE SEAT in order to run for President. Gov of SD signed into law - person cannot run for 2 spots at once (like Loserman did in Conn.).
Now, SD Gov (repub), can appoint an interim person to take Daschle's old spot!! Guess Thune will make it to the Senate after all!!!!! That give the repubs HOW MANY ...???

Daschle Said to Have Decided to Run for President..........
--------------------------
He'll be the ideal clown to run and take the fall if Hillary decides not to run.

Will Daschle be like Dole, and automatically get the nomination because it is "his turn"? Or, will Hillary decide to run, and there be some interesting internal fighting amid the splintered ruins of the Democrat leadership? All the old, tired, hustings clichés will be broken out, way too soon since the last election, for my tastes. Pedantic press pundits will pose, "Which candidate will catch fire?" "Who has the 'Big Mo'?" "Who will 'resonate" with the American public?" The only way you'll ever see Daschle catch fire, is if he sits on a hot plate. Perhaps Hillary will spontaneously combust. I hear that that particular fate is reserved for the most wicked and miserable souls, and so Hillary is quite well qualified. Imagine a convention fight between Daschle and Gephardt. Can one get a hernia from yawning too often? Some idiot will pronounce that ...the nomination is Kerry's to lose..." That's what they said about Gore. What did Hillary say to Gore to get him to drop out? "My book will outsell yours?" All in all, the next major election will come way too soon. I wish they would just let us have a few years off of this endless charade of mendacity. Oh well, se la democracie!

He's so intelligent.
He's so dynamic.
He's so statuesque.
Yes, l'il Tom is the leader for the 21st century.
(How can he even think he could win? geesh.)

Didn't think you'd want to miss this little tidbit.

Maybe he wants to be president of the fan club of Howard Stern's rock band . . . The Losers!!!

OOHHHH Happy New Year Lainie I am hoping this story turn out be very true
COME ON LITTLE TOMMY RUN DUDE RUN
I want you get punk in 2004 COME ON HONEY Run dude run
I been good girl
To: lainie
Seems to me the real significance of this (if true) is that it means that Daschle has concluded that there is no scenario under which he is going to become Majority Leader any time soon. There is no new "Jeffords" in the wings, no "palace coup" to be had. If he were going to be Majority Leader, he would not have time to run for President. |

Bush/Cheney: 77%
Yasser Dascshle/Rodham-Sharpton 9%
"Others:" 14%

The only issue of interest in this matter is whether Daschle has the decency to step down while pursing personal goals rather than compromise the interest of his electorate and the taxpayer who pays his salary. Don't hold your breath for a Rat to do the right thing.....

Tom Thumb will run until Hillary! pulls his FBI file and convinces him otherwise.
