This thread is getting more enjoyable as it goes on! Now THAT would be a carnivorous treat for a Conservative Dog! How's about Daschle/Condit. What an attractive pair!
Condit has already been devoured by numorous packs of dogs! His chances of being a running mate with Dasshole are as good as Charles Manson's chances would be. Maybe, Mmm let's see...How about Gary Hart? He's sleezable enough for the lib's but at the same time, most people don't know who the he!! he is. It could be a match made in heaven! What do you think?

Somebody PLEASE post that picture of little Tommy on Gephardt's shoulders. I love that picture!
To: EGPWS
Well what's Dukakis up to? Ferraro? They've already trotted out Mondale and Lautenberg this year.

Thanks! I laugh so hard every time I look at that picture.

I think the real story here is that TommyBoy has found some idiot with lots of money and the idiot is willing to give it to TommyBoy's election hopes. My guess is TommyBoy will make a run, slice off part of this funding assistance to his personal chest for the next senatorial election, and just make a half-hearted attempt. He will come up with no win, an empty chest, and probably $2 million in bills...which prompts him to immedately turn around and ask for assistance from the supporters. He loses nothing and gains more for the senatorial campaign.
To: Mo1
If he runs, and I hope he does, he won't even win in corrupt SD even if all the dead Sioux vote for him.
To: pepsionice
Or if he's like Condit, the war chest will be funneled into his wife's wages.

Geraldine Ferraro?..I'd love to see the day, being a lifer Minnesotan conservative!
The good ol' day's I remeber well with "The Gipper" getting 48 states in '84...less Minnesota and DC against Mondale.
Alas living in the state that voted against "The Gipper" doesn't do much for my politcal pride!Geraldine..I'd put up there with Condit as for her positive input to a presidential campaign for the Dem's in '04.

Bush/Cheney: 77%
Yasser Dascshle/Rodham-Sharpton 9%
"Others:" 14%

The only issue of interest in this matter is whether Daschle has the decency to step down while pursing personal goals rather than compromise the interest of his electorate and the taxpayer who pays his salary. Don't hold your breath for a Rat to do the right thing.....
To: clodkicker
Dashale runs for President in the primaries...gets his ass handed to him and drops out by March. He can still run for re-election in South Dakota in November right? I'm assuming he's out of the presidential election before the SD primary.
To: Mo1
We all know that Daschle won't get the nomination and therefore won't be running for the Senate and the Presidency at the same time. The question is, can he run for the Democratic nomination without disqualifying his prospective candidacy for the Senate???????????????
To: Moosehead; clodkicker
That's why I wondered aloud about local laws against "appearing on the ballot twice in the same election" vs. "running for two offices."

Re #68: Are those [StrangeCosmos] shoes six inches deep or are those [StrangeCosmos] shoes six inches deep?
Bring it on, Yasser Daschle, bring it on!
YASSER DASCHLE
AMERICA'S FIRST DICTATOR!

The question is, can he run for the Democratic nomination without disqualifying his prospective candidacy for the Senate???????????????A bigger question CAN HE WIN RE-ELECTION to the senate in South Dakota? A lot of the fraugulent voting in South Dakota has be brought out into the open now.

I think you could be on to something.
Daschle's entrance into the race (
IF it is true - a big IF at this point - could be a trial balloon) reminds me of Orrin Hatch's foray into the Republican primary the last time around. It made no sense on its face.
The big thing about this that makes me glance sideways is that the Clintons and McAuliffe run the Democrat money machine with an iron fist. Somehow, some way, the Clintons are behind this Daschle thing - - I just know it.
To: lainie
Tom Thumb will run until Hillary! pulls his FBI file and convinces him otherwise.
