Zip and Mrs. Zip stood proud this morning to FReep the peaceniks at the Columbia Post Office. Due to a previous engagement DogRobber and I have been unable to counter the protesters the past couple of weeks. The corner has been covered each week, though, by dedicated Americans who refuse to let our military and veterans see only the leftist message from the protesters.
Mrs. Zip snapped these photos for forever fix the images for the sake of history. Thank's to the Zip couple for their dedication.
Peacenik useful idiots.
One man band. When there are two, you get photos!

Ping you guys! Sorry for the typos. My fingers got so excited they hit post, so it went mis-labled, etc. I'm sure you can figure out which captions go to which photo. Meanwhile, I'm off to finish my chores. See you guys next week as we continue to saga of FReepers v. peaceniks.

Thank you Zip and Mrs Zip!
Freedom bump!

Thank you, Zip and Mrs. Zip for representing us all on the corner today. Thank you for standing strong in support of the troops and against the peaceniks. God bless you, today and always.
While at Wal-Mart earlier, hubby, daughter, and I met daughter's friend who just completed basic training. He will be going to Germany after the holidays. I gave him the FR address. Mike, and ALL the military: Thank you for your service; we appreciate what you do to protect and maintain our freedom. God bless and protect you as you serve.

Yeeeee Haaaaw!!!!
Zip stuck it to the peace-niks again! Stole their thunder. Made the peace-niks irrelevant. It's not the numbers, it's the quality. Missouri FReepers we are proud of you!

It's not the numbers, it's the quality. Yep, you are so right. AND it's fun looking for the dumbest sign of the day across the street. (almost as much fun as hunting for the great Canadian Goose or a nice mallard.)lol
Dogrobber and Bluesagewoman, thanks for the use of your signs. They were very appropriate today. I love the fact that we have made adifference. No longer do they stomp on the American flag, no longer do they wave the PA flag, no longer do they post signs saying "help Saddam kill Americans", no longer do I have to see "America deserved 9/11", no longer do they call Bush a murderer, and on and on. Now they have decided to protest the USA's use of self defense. Only evil ones are allowed to run unfettered (in their opinions). I cannot understand their hatred of America and its values. I am very proud to know my brother and sister FReepers. Thank you all.

I salute you, Sir.

Thanks to the MO FReepers for standing tall.
Trying to remember where the Columbia Post Office is,,, I was familiar with the town 40 years ago.
Is the PO North or South of Broadway? And then there was a street that formed a T with Broadway. The street ran N & S and lead to the Mizzo campus. Can you give me an idea of the general direction of where the PO is located?
To: Iowa Granny
The post office in Columbia at 511 E Walnut St - which is just about 2 blocks east of Providence Road. Walnut runs parallel to Broadway just one street north. Hope this helps.

Congratulations and job well done, zip and mrs zip! You Missouri FReepers have indeed made a difference, and judging by the change in signage from the peaceniks, a BIG difference. These people will never understand that without our strong military and "self defense", they would not be out there protesting. Thank you for reminding them each week. I am so proud to know you.

I'd suggest sending a FReep mail to zip.

Hi there zip! Big ((HUGS)) to you and Mrs.zip. And to all the MO. FReepers. I admire your dedication getting out each week to show your support for our troops and for our country.
It's such a shame that it's even necessary to have to do it. That those peaceniks get out and protest our troops - who are the very people who fight for the freedoms those idiots are taking advantage of - is disgusting!
Thanks for posting the thread, blue. I hope things settle down for you and Dogrobber soon.

It just floors me to see people protest everything that is good and proclaim that America is at fault for every evil event that occurs on this planet.

Good morning Brother. Glad to see our message of support for our troops is getting out. Trev, you are always welcome to come up and join us. Blueagewoman and Dogrobber are the main contacts and are there unless something major interrupts them. We meet in front of the Post Office, 500 block of Walnut EVERY Saturday morning from 10 to 11. The easiest way to get there is 63 to I70, west to Providence Road, left on Walnut for two blocks. The good guys are across the street from the Post Office and the Useful Idiots are on the grass in front of the PO. I'll buy lunch if you get up there. Thanks for your support. zip
