Reports: Islamist Militants May Seek To Unite, Strike in Europe 18 October 2002

Summary

Islamist militants from scores of countries reportedly convened recently
in Bosnia, agreeing to set aside differences and to present a united
front in the face of "American-Zionist aggression." Although it is not
known whether al Qaeda members were present, such a convention would
suggest that militants are feeling the heat from the U.S. anti-terrorism
war and are seeking to turn the tide by staging coordinated attacks against the West.

Analysis

Russian and Yugoslav intelligence sources claim that more than 150
Islamic radicals from more than 50 countries held a secret congress in
Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on Oct. 8. Strana.ru, a pro-government
Russian media source, issued a similar report, citing "well-informed
diplomatic sources."

According to these sources, the Islamists declared jihad on the
"European race" -- meaning both Americans and Europeans -- because it
has become "the willing slaves of Jews and Israel." Participants also
agreed to put aside any conflicts within the Muslim world in order to
unite all Islamic forces as soon as possible for "a return strike" in
response to "American-Zionist aggression," the sources say. The militants allegedly
declared that all means, both legal and illegal, should be used for that purpose.

Although it is unknown whether al Qaeda members were present at the
reported meeting, its occurrence would suggest Islamic militants are
feeling the heat from the U.S. anti-terrorism war and are trying to turn
the tide by staging coordinated attacks. A united front against the
United States and its perceived domination in the Muslim world is
something Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda have been calling for since the
beginning of their struggle against the United States.

You see, things get a little complicated in Euroland...
It's not that easy, becase the PC propaganda apparatus hold jihadis untouchable through silence of consent.
Some people are really spineless and greatly unrealistic to the present threat, but however there is growing discontent among some individuals. If an attack takes place more will become determined to root out the bad elements.
The first thing though, is for them to take out the traitor fifth columnist politicians, who created the whole situation with their liberal socialist immigration policies and pro islam bias.

I never quite knew what to make of him. He was tall, languid, educated, he spoke with an elaborately courteous southern drawl and he dressed impeccably. He had a strange accent, an odd manner: He kept referring to "the province" which he claimed to visit regularly, when he was speaking of Kosovo, and on those few occasions he used the word he called it Koss-oh-vo, with a long second o. He referred to his present home as being in a nation called Alb-ah-nia.

At any rate, Greg registers here on FreeRepublic and starts posting on or around the beginning of March under the nom de plume Fusion, referencing articles from the still fictitious or non-web accessible "Albania Briefings", to be later written by himself.

Wow, what a read :)

If the Islamofascists do pull off an attack in Europe, will that harden the Euroweenie spines, or just make them cave in further?

I think it depends on the nature and size of the attack(s). If they were quite large (hundreds of people each) and in multiple countries, perhaps even coincidental or at least very close together I think Europe's attitude would shift dramatically towards encouraging and taking part in retaliatory action. Moreover, don't forget that despite the official PC-ism of Euro governments there is a great deal of prejudice in these formally monolithic countries. Remember...Europe wasn't built by immigrants the way The U.S. and Canada were. Many of my friends on the continent, and some are quite left wing, have expressed a great deal of animosity towards the moslem immigrants, many of them illegal. Were a critical level of violence to occur, I think we could see a Europe far different than we do today. The trick will be keeping it from decending into one of its darker behavior modes.

Fusion, I though I'd never say this, but you knocked this one out of the ballpark.

Thanks for your assessment. Sounds like you're living in Europe. You're right about those politicians, either stupid or treacherous.

It sounds like there is a lot of resentment and islamophobia totally ignored by the politicians. Are you from the UK? If so, doesn't Britain have a major muslim problem?

Are you from the UK?

Toronto, actually. Many close buds over the pond, though. As for the problem you mention, my understanding is that there are significant problems but only in certain areas at this point. Europe (France/Belgium?Holland) have worse issues apparantly. Mad Ivan would be a better person to ask about British specifics than I.

Cheers, eh!

The next time they hold such a conference, it should be declared "a target rich environment".

Irrational hatred of immigrants, that's all. Maybe my terminology was a little too dramatic.

Thanks for your assessment. Sounds like you're living in Europe. You're right about those politicians, either stupid or treacherous.

That's affirmative.
I'm Currently living in the socialist workers paradise on earth, the peoples republic of EUSSR. The problem isn't just limited to the politicians and the socialist PC media outlets. One should target the taskmasters behind them in order to understand the real reasons behind evolving events. They perceive policies were Euros have to tax fund all the immigrants, the public services are carrying a heavy load due to that fact. The "refuge-immigrants" don't show any gratitude of getting all the freebies, such as free health and medical care, open access to education, which is on a negative quota basis for Christians in muslim countries btw. No, you have algerians in France that would attack the Russian Embassy in "retaliation" for the failed terrorist attempt carried out by chechens in Moscow.

Since 9/11 a lot of Euros are awakening despite leftie apologist whining about musli understanding. Some of my friends got really angered and asked mideasterners, which they met if they were out of their minds. Attitudes have shifted greatly since then. But because Europe always has to take the brunt of refuges, war in say Iraq is unpopular because it brings the whole third world here, it's at least one reason why people would be more reluctant to it. Some places look really alien and not European at all, you should see it for yourself. Hordes of immigrants make good prospects for terrorists. That together with socialist anti-family policies leading to an older population and a general decline is really something that must be checked.

Wolfowitz's and Rumsfeld's bid to force Turkey into EU is another thing creating a rift among Europeans and US. Ordinary citizens don't want them in, not even all the socialists actually, however large parts of Europe's political class and their media henchmen are in for this, which could spark a potentially dangerous situation. The border control would also be greatly stretched, with probably increasing illegal immigration as a result. This is generally a bad idea and not many Euros agree, most of them see current "immigrants" as newcomers and temporarily residing, not very well integrated in society itself but going on by themselves.

Then you have the whole racist situation were there's no allowance of being a white European in Europe. You have gang rapes committed by muslim islamist immigrants and the media of course protects them, sometimes they even get off the hook. Immigrant "honour" killings if their women fall in love with the wrong dude etc. Not to mention all the racist anti-caucasian male hating propaganda, when they want all the women to hump the newcomers, interesting to see all commercials and ads where a white woman and dark guy is portray and never the opposite. Then of course not to forget the "trafficking" slavery were approximately 500.000 eastern European women ends up into prostitution every year. When I come to think of it, it really looks like a war on multiple fronts against Indo-Europeans in general.
No nightmare, far beyond!

The total cost for the EU enlargement for the first two initial years stops at no less than approximately $ 35 bln USD. For the fiscal year 2002, as a comparison, the Peoples Republic of China got $ 50 bln USD as direct investment from foreign investors... Direct investment equals, factories, production facilities, new projects, resulting in job opportunities and hard cash return. The euro(c)rats, on the other hand, still believe in a subsidy based economy. Cash return "might" happen some time in the future... Why not invest directly in the economy instead, creating more job opportunities? The $ 35 bln USD is going to be spent on useless subsidies, not immediately yielding cash return. That's the story of their economic outlook... Strategic indeed... Not to mention the taxes in the EU, PRC has special free trade areas taxing companies 8%. Open the borders instead, will do just fine... Now, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize that ends won't meet.
