>>>Do you believe that this group who cloned this child is actually representing "Aliens" who visited the earth and wanted them to clone this child?<<<

While I can't disprove that that sort of thing happened, I do not believe that particular claim of theirs any more than I (or many others nowadays) believe much of what the Old Testament says.

Oh yeah...it's rubbish. Even Spielberg won't touch this subject...yet.

If it's a hoax, then they sure have set themselves up prematurely for a high profile fall.

And your point is???

Now please explain how you get around the first part of my post. "Murder is murder". How do you justify murdering the clone to save the other?

George Lucas just touched upon the cloning topic... So did Arnold Schwarzeneggar, and the Star Trek: Nemesis crew (to name a few).

Well, I for one, would like to have some "proof" of the Alien visit back in the 70's which precipitated this event.

I mean, why wouldn't YOU want some proof that they are actually following the guidelines the "Aliens" gave them?

This isn't 2002 years ago? The "alien" visit supposedly happened within the last 30 years.

It's a value decision. How do you justify letting wealthy folks horde money based on assets they claim to directly own, while millions of others who had comparable claims to such assets starve to death? Again, it's a value judgement.

The proof I want involves whether or not this baby is a clone or not.

Many great things are achieved due to phony beliefs. How many millionaires thought they'd be happy if they did what it took to become millionaires, for example? We don't take away their millions even after they realize that money can merely RENT but not buy happiness, though, do we? The alien stuff seems wacky but if the end result is a viable clone, other (more down-to-Earth) biotech firms will follow suit. Someday the hypothetical with which I initiated this thread will become less hypothetical.

Bwahahahaha, so you're a socialist/communist. Wealthy folks should not be allowed to horde their money, when the poor feel they have a claim to it. You are going to get eaten alive on this web site spouting that kind of logic.

So if I feel I have a right to your liver, I should be able to make a claim on it? After all, if I'm dying, I would very much like your liver if it will save me. Value judgement.

then they sure have set themselves up prematurely for a high profile fall.

High profile is the keyword here. They will skewer the explanation of the results to create doubt in the minds of those who "want" to believe. Did somebody hail a comet?

A communist? Far from it. I was simply making a point. Value judgements vary from region to region. Even if we ban cloning, other regions won't. But if we excel at this technology, then we can conceivably set groundrules for sharing it in hopes of making sure it's used more ethically than it might otherwise be.

DNA tests are pretty straightforward though, aren't they? At least the domestic relations judges act as if they are...

>>>Who wants to live forever?<<<

Ironically the person who sang a song entitled that a decade ago, Freddie Mercury, is no longer with us.

The song was also on the soundtrack from the movie Highlander.

While I haven't seen Highlander, I would definitely like to see the results of the DNA analysis of the purported clone. Something tells me that if the results are convincing, we'll hear about it.

Now you are making a little more sense. However, I don't see the use in cloning if you are not going to harvest organs from the clones to save people who are dying. And cloning for harvest and death of the clone can never be allowed. Talk about something that would bring this country to war with itself.

Here's the exclusive first photo of the clone:

Doh! Looks like there was a mix up in the lab!

You seem to be hung up with the "money angle" to living life. In the deepest part of my conscience, I cannot seem to justify Massive Houses of Worship being constructed, while the money could be used to feed the starving people of this world. But that's something I can't do anything about.

What I can do, however, is make sure I don't use a Physician who claims to have a cure for me because he was contacted by Aliens who gave him the receipe.

This group falls into the "kook" category.

Barry Sheck says yes and no. Depends which side your on. OJ walked in spite of DNA evidence.
