The proof I want involves whether or not this baby is a clone or not.
Many great things are achieved due to phony beliefs. How many millionaires thought they'd be happy if they did what it took to become millionaires, for example? We don't take away their millions even after they realize that money can merely RENT but not buy happiness, though, do we? The alien stuff seems wacky but if the end result is a viable clone, other (more down-to-Earth) biotech firms will follow suit. Someday the hypothetical with which I initiated this thread will become less hypothetical.
You seem to be hung up with the "money angle" to living life. In the deepest part of my conscience, I cannot seem to justify Massive Houses of Worship being constructed, while the money could be used to feed the starving people of this world. But that's something I can't do anything about.
What I can do, however, is make sure I don't use a Physician who claims to have a cure for me because he was contacted by Aliens who gave him the receipe.
This group falls into the "kook" category.
