It seems like an attack on North Korea could come in the next year or so.
Place your bet as to when the attack will begin.
Whoever gets closest to the date and time wins.
Attack time must be specified in Month, Day, and Year
For specifying any hour, don't forget to specify what time zone you are referring to.
There is no decision on a prize to be awarded yet except for bragging rights.

You mean, if your prediction turns out to be true, I'll be force-fed a bowl of steaming, hot 'poshintang' down at the Moran marketplace in Seoul?
To: AmericanInTokyo
Yes, indeed. Would you like flies with that??

Only if you let me insist you kindly reciprocate with a heaping mouthful of silkworm larvae (which one can find on the street corners in Seoul being kept nice and warm for snacking passersby!!! ;-)
To: AmericanInTokyo

About an hour after the "Dear Leader" launches his attack on July 27, 2003 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the ceasefire. 7am Korean time.
To: AmericanInTokyo
No attack by us on them until an attack by them on the ROK.
Starting in one or two weeks a series of escalating probing confrontations along the DMZ as the DPRK tries to get a causus belli. After about two weeks of this, finally something happens to give them their excuse and they cross the border enmasse.
February 12, 2003.

The first new Moon in May. 0230 Local time.
The problem ... we will lose Pearl Harbor to a nuke and an American city.

Provocative. They do like anniversaries. You are observant to notice the 1953-2003 parallel. BUMP!

They are conducting provocations right now but nobody is making a big deal about it for fear of escalating. Soon, though, something BIG will happen along the DMZ either near the JSA or the central highland area across from Chorlwon, or perhaps another attack/fight in the Yellow Sea as in 1999. The S. K. won't want to lose face and they will not back down. Hence, the escalation. Pretty good analysis and guess of yours.....

And certainly they can get Nodongs or Taepodong I off from a variety of launch sites in North Korea, some underground and quite elaborate. For example, they can easily hit our American boys and girls (and Americans like me) from Hwadae County in Hamgyong Province, or from Huchang County in Jagang Province (that one is targeted for US troops in Okinawa), or from Munchon County in Kangwon Province also destined for Japan and US bases in Japan. Or from Mayang Island in S. Hamyong Province, for the west coast of Japan. They can load these bastards with botulum, anthrax, sarin, VX, smallpox, plague, you name it.

Great Post AmericanInTokyo!
Thanks for the props in your introduction.
I'm going to have to think about this one a bit before I place a bet.
Possibly someone could post a lunar phase calendar for the this year and next year?
To: AmericanInTokyo
I'm still willing to stick to my late July 2003 guesstimate.
