A Democratic strategist was just on Fox News describing why Bill Frist shouldn't be majority Leader.
After listing the normal concerns of economy, being rich, being in bed with drug companies and health Insurance companies, the thing she focused on the most and said was the number one reason that he should not be Majority leader was because of him be against reproductive rights.
She made it sound like he was an extremists when it comes to a woman's right to choose.
Many freepers have portrayed him as being pro-abortion. Which is right?

The top ten reasons the Democrats will use on Why Bill Frist should not become President.
10. He is wealthy. We all know that Rich Democrats made their millons the hard way, by inheriting it or stealing it, while Rich Republicans have made it the easy way, by starting companies, and giving millions of Americans jobs. (we need more unemployed people on welfare to boost the Democratic roles)
9. He is a White man from the south. All registered Republicans that are white males and from the south are bigots and racists, while All registered white male Democrats from the south are not. (memo: make sure Sen. Byrd leave his sheet at home while attending news conferences.)
8. He is a sergeon. We all know that nost Doctors are against national Health Insurance, and therefore having a someone who has worked in the health field in opposition will prevent us.
7. He is close to President Bush. Anyone who is close to President Bush would have to be honest, loyal and hardworking and therefore not easily corruptable or blackmailed.
6. He is for defending America through a strong military. How will we ever be able to make America into a third world country with a strong defense.
5. He is young and good looking. He could beat Hilary in 2008. We wouldn't possibly be able to get the women to vote for Hilary when they are swooning over Bill Frist.
4. His daddy is rich. No republican that has a rich daddy should be allowed to make decisions for poor people (memo: keep Kennedy and Rockafeller away from this news conference.)
3. He doesn't have any potential issues in which we could use in our latest race baiting campaign against the Republican party. We have to have those issues in order to keep the black voters from voting Republican/. (Memo, have Hilary say this and keep Jackson and Sharpton away from this news conference.) 2. He is anti-union. How will the unions be able to buy his votes. We must unionize walmart before the next election if we don't want unions to become obsolete. Now that we do not have President Clinton in office to cover up the latest Union scandals, we are in trouble.
1. He is against killing the innocent unborn children, but the conservative Republicans think he is for killing the unborn and will use that to sway Democratic voters into believing he supports abortion.

HELP!!! Is he for or against abortion. I have heard more pro abortion than pro life.
To: ODDITHER
I think I read recently that he was involved with an HMO that provided abortion benefits to enrollees. By inference he must be pro-choice...but in fact he is evidently pro life.

Source, please? I was under the impression that he was a thorassic surgeon, not a research scientist. Why would a chest cutter need stem cells?
And if the HMO he practices with supports certain procedures other than those which he supports, would you recommend that he leave the HMO, and thereby, the hospitals where he performs his surgeries? Perhaps he could rent out a garsge for operations. Sheeeesh....

NO Republican choice for Senate Majority Leader will please the Democrats. They still want to control the Senate and will say bad things about all the Republican leadership.
Bill Frist is a good choice for the Republican party and the Senate Majority Leadership. He is enough pro-life to put through the no partial birth bill this year and that's a start. He will also help push through the Republican judicial nominees and that is a HUGH start to making America more conservative. Bill Frist led the campaign to retake the Senate and raised a lot of dollars. I gave, did you?
Stop carping about Bill Frist and let's pass some bills we want, like making the tax cut permanent. Write the senators of your state and tell them you want tax cuts, no partial birth abortions, judgeships filled, etc. Even if you have Democrat senators, they will see the way the wind blows.

" Karl Rove will not allow the PBA ban to go through because it will alienate suburbian white women"
Why would a partial birth abortion ban alienate white suburbian women? All of the white suburbian women I know support it...

Frist and his family are supposed to be the leading
stockholders in the HMO. Therefore,
him and family can be held responsible for the HMOs
policies.
To: cynicom
What is the name of Frist's HMO?
To: Princeliberty
Frist's family started a chain of hospitals. Some of those hospitals provide abortion services. Mostly the company has bought other hospitals rather than found new hospitals.
