Frist's family started a chain of hospitals. Some of those hospitals provide abortion services. Mostly the company has bought other hospitals rather than found new hospitals.

Yes, they run HCA Healthcare the largest
chain of Hospitals in the country.
Frist's Father and brother started in 1968
when he a teenager. The brother is now
CEO. The Frist family are the largest stockholders
in the company. Senator Frist owns a large share
of stock personally.
HCA has a policy of allowing abortions
to performed at its Hospitals.
Frist certainly should be held to account.
You cannot say you are pro-life when the
family Hospital chain that you are a major
stockholder in preforms abortions.
Further, Frist was elected in 1994 and
has been in the Senate during a time of
Republican dominance and with Republicans
pushing a very watered down pro-life agenda.
So supported that agenda for life was merely
supporting a pro-life agenda that limited
to things like banning partial birth abortion
that had the vast majority of public support.
So the Frist's beliefs on abortion have
not really been put to the test in the Senate
so far.
Further, when he first ran for Senate in 1994
he said he was against overturning Roe vs. Wade.
I don't know if he has changed that position since
he now tries to claim to a pro-lifer something
he did not do in the 1994 Senate race.
