Who is Bill Frist?
Fox News - self | 12/23/02 | Fox News

A Democratic strategist was just on Fox News describing why Bill Frist shouldn't be majority Leader.

After listing the normal concerns of economy, being rich, being in bed with drug companies and health Insurance companies, the thing she focused on the most and said was the number one reason that he should not be Majority leader was because of him be against reproductive rights.

She made it sound like he was an extremists when it comes to a woman's right to choose.

Many freepers have portrayed him as being pro-abortion. Which is right?

HCA got their money the old fashioned way, they stole tax dollars. Who are the founders and current major stockholders???? My, my, my, Honest Bill Frist and his family. Well do tell.

Yeah, what a great representative for the Republican Party. I'm sure it’s all just a big misunderstanding, whats a few hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars between friends, eh?As far as Frist being, pro or anti-abortion, it really doesn't matter. Just find out what Karl Rove's position is because Frist is nothing more than Rove's mouthpiece, period.

Yes, they run HCA Healthcare the largest
chain of Hospitals in the country.
Frist's Father and brother started in 1968
when he a teenager. The brother is now
CEO. The Frist family are the largest stockholders
in the company. Senator Frist owns a large share
of stock personally.
HCA has a policy of allowing abortions
to performed at its Hospitals.
Frist certainly should be held to account.

You cannot say you are pro-life when the
family Hospital chain that you are a major
stockholder in preforms abortions.

Further, Frist was elected in 1994 and
has been in the Senate during a time of
Republican dominance and with Republicans
pushing a very watered down pro-life agenda.
So supported that agenda for life was merely
supporting a pro-life agenda that limited
to things like banning partial birth abortion
that had the vast majority of public support.

So the Frist's beliefs on abortion have
not really been put to the test in the Senate
so far.

Further, when he first ran for Senate in 1994
he said he was against overturning Roe vs. Wade.

I don't know if he has changed that position since
he now tries to claim to a pro-lifer something
he did not do in the 1994 Senate race.

First of all you need to learn how to spell and use english.

Secondly before speaking or typing you should research the things you say about someone. To all who says someone is pro-life because he voted against partial-birth abortions maybe, just maybe you should see how everyone else voted on this because there are a lot of pro-choice politicians who voted against partial-birth abortions. Even I believe they are wrong.

To everyone else I am from TN and have had first hand experience on this paticular senator and you should research his HMO history including the one with his father. Just a bit of information you may enjoy.

I think that you should look at the very things that you say the democrats say about the republicans and then research the two parties and you will discover that these are the things the republicans say about the democrats. And you should really learn something and not just say the things that you think sound cool or make you sound smart but maybe once you research something you and I could have a decent conversation about politics. Oh and you should also try to use english and make good sense of the words you choose you may even try spelling them correctly.
