Good article. The Dems are a stale piece of bread--they are the ones who are stuck in 1948. Maybe it's good that they keep going on about this while the Republicans try to solve real problems. I think we'll come out ahead in the end.

For decades, they have used one of the better moments from their past the battle against segregation to great political advantage. Except that it is a lie.
Where do you think the 'crat in "Dixiecrat" came from? And what party did Strom Thurmond run back to after his failed 1948 Dixiecrat presidential bid? The Democrats. Oh yeah, and when Trent Lott was actually a segragationist, guess which party he belonged to? Yep, the DEMOCRATS.

Rooster...
Really tough for dems to lose with so many pubs and most of media on their side. Dems are ruthless and they are not stupid, they play hardball politics, take no prisoners.

Few things are as striking as driving towards downtown Chicago and passing building after building, highlighted by the height and breadth of the construction and the sparseness of the development, that were constructed to give blacks affordable housing...
The buildings, all of them, are dirty, they have fire damage on every outside face, the have no windows, they have fences along every balcony.
I had no idea there were so many. It's just building after building, right along the interstate. It's amazing how brazen those do-gooders were in their self-puffery that they would completely ignore the economics in building those "affordable" apartments and incredibly, build those monstrosities, right in full view, along the interstate. Madness.

This is probably the best article on this subject I have read.

For decades, they have used one of the better moments from their past the battle against segregation to great political advantage. It established in the public's mind the image of the left as courageous fighters against the regressive forces of bigotry.Funny how the Democratic "courageous fighters" of past sit-ins oppose anyone speaking out against abortion nowdays.
