We don't even know where the curtains are, much less what's behind those unknown curtains. Quix is right, physicist. As you know, many physicists believe (a la string theory) that we live in a very multidimensional existence - even if most dimensions are 'rolled up.' Quantum mechanics has not yet explained the transition from the wave function world to the real world. We do not know from what the Big Bang sprang. Etc. Etc. There are many curtains there - and as Quix says, there may well be many more of which we unaware. Physicists and scientists in general are far too quick to believe we see most of that which exists.

Yeah, when I've blown it for the nth time 12 ways to Sunday and am feeling like the lowest microbe on the lowest slug in the lowest cesspool of hell, it can be hard to feel convinced of those truths. But we live by HIS WORD, not by our feelings. PRAISE GOD FOR THAT. Amen, brother.

Yep. E.T.s are made in
our image, so
we get to become God.
It's always been man's greatest desire, and his most stubborn folly.
"Then shall ye be as gods."

Hey Quix - As to fun... We are created in His image. Our laughter, our love, our delight in things good, our wonder, our passion, our excitement, our thrills, our amazement - all these are gifts from Him. Yet... I suspect (I do not know!) that we are called toward Him with specific goals in mind. - And given the incredible evil that exists and which infiltrates the universe, I would not be suprised to find that we will be called to take part in the fight in His name. Like the TV show, 'Touched by an Angel,' we may be put to great work. Part of that would be fun, I would think. But part would be tough, and challenging, and maybe even dangerous... I'm not sure the archangel Michael had fun in his fight. But I'm sure it was a glorious fight!!! - as any work of the Lord is glorious.

Just a few comments regarding the physical and the spiritual, UFOs and reported governmental research in liaison with 'aliens' ala Matrix, Area 51, etc.
If black ops project/s exist and such aliens or ETBs exist, then the first indicator of insufficient wherewithal would be if said researchers failed to employ the most rigorous of God fearing Christians and Jews in their research.
Too much of the reported phenomenon is implicitly associated with that portion of man known as the spirit throughout Judeao-Christian Scripture.
The additional association with fallen angels or perhaps other creatures would seem to mandate a rigorous education in Scripture simply as a minimal requirement to even begin to study the issues with any semblance of clarity.
It's interesting to note, though, how much of the UFO literature fails to apply this point of view. Accordingly, IMHO, a very strong deception is possible to those lacking Scriptural faith to instead remain carnal, titillate their senses and ears and lusting for power, sorcery, and other such forbidden domains prior to first remaining faithful to God and placing Him first in all things.
The descriptions made of alien encounters and UFOs nearly always seem to be made from a carnal, physical perspective, with amazement of things spiritual. IMHO, this is good evidence of both their existence and deception implicit with current reporting.

One hundred dusty commentaries which say to stick to the conventional translations, will have no effect upon me.
The Hebrew (and Greek) simply are not adequately covered by those translations, but those who find them comforting are welcome to them.
You need not quote further conventional theology texts, I am well aware they do not contain modern technological translations of these terms.

WRT where the curtains are and what might be behind them, perhaps this lack of knowledge itself speaks mountains in regards to our proper domain. Even without this knowledge, thereis substantial rich blessings available to all men and each man from the simple situations provided him.
How many people have simply been able to master the concepts of body, soul, and spirit, their relationships and Scriptural insistance upon those issues? Consider their interconnection woth known miracles even documented in Scripture and made manifest by Jesus Christ Himself.
Until those are mastered or even grasped with marginal acceptance without ignoring their implications, it seems a bit foolish to get to deep into multidimensional theories.
Stated another way, I've been able to glean more from 8 hours of studying Scripture than 7 years of postgraduate physics in the ability to better fully explain all experience.
I always find it interesting how so much Scripture has been made public and eternally manifest, always describing the same basic conditions of man in a relationship with God, and yet it's amazing how scarred we are and not be able to grasp its simple meanings which have been repetitively stated throughout Scripture and through the ages, by young and old, rich and poor, studied and retarded.
One either gets it or they don't, but it begins with simple faith in Him as repetitively stated in Scripture.

Well said.
The Andraeson (sp?) Affair is supposedly different.
She is reportedly a strong Evangelical Christian. I don't know if she's Charismatic/Pentecostal or not.
She's convinced the ones she's associated with are angels. I'm not convinced. But I haven't talked to her personally.
Now, if Derek Prince had a string of experiences and told me about his tests of their goodness or badness, that would be much more convincing.
I hope Snodgrass posts his article soon. I should check his site. It's been a few days.
Thanks,

One of the things I've been ready to check-out/ask if I ever saw an ET was--hmmm you got a tongue? You got knees?
"Every knee shall bow; every tongue confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord."

Man's body formed by God, the man's soul made by God and man's spirit created by God. The discernment in those terms express considerable meanings with regards to more profound doctrinal arguments.
Further doctrinal issues regarding death, separation, disposition of body, soul and spirit, parallelism to the domains of other creatures and their dispositions wrt body, soul, and spirit are bases I've found to help my understanding of Scripture immensely.
All too frequently, I find the original Greek and Hebrew to be very valuable to discern these finer yet very fundamental points. Once discerned, it's amazing how simple and straightfoward literal interpretation of Scripture has become.
