Why didn't it matter the day Lott made the statement? Becasuse it didn't matter until race baiters decided to make an issue of it. It can only work if people fall for the dirty tricks they keep pulling over and over again.
Lott appears to be playing right into their hands. The Dems smell a blood sacrifice in return for their stinging defeat on November 5th....and Lott seems ready to hand his own head to them on a platter.
