Is that one of the dogs that lost? Definitely doesn't look like a goat carcass.

Crippled container ship

The damaged container vessel Kariba drops anchor in Antwerp harbour on Sunday. A Norwegian ship with a cargo of almost 3,000 new cars sank in the English Channel on Dec 14 after a collision in thick fog with the Kariba. The ship, Tricolor, keeled over after the incident 35 km north of the French Channel port of Dunkirk, which is one of the world's busiest sea lanes. -- AFP

I wish "Wide World of Sports" was still on. Maybe they would go over and cover one of these games. It looks fun to play and great to watch.

Oh, those crazy 'Ghannies.

...Am reminded of the refrain in the great American country and western singer Jerry Jeff Walker's "Up Against The Wall, You Redneck Mothers" ...

He was born in West Virginia,
His wife's name's Betty Lou Thelma Liz
And he's not responsible for what he's doing
Cause his mother made him what he is.

And it's up against the wall Redneck Mother,
Mother, who has raised her son so well.
He's thirty-four and drinking in a honky tonk.
Just kicking hippies a$$es and raising he!!.

Sure does like his Falstaff beer,
Likes to chase it down with that Wild Turkey liquor;
Drives a fifty-seven GMC pickup truck;
He's got a gun rack; "Goat ropers need love, too" sticker

And it's up against the wall Redneck Mother,
Mother, who has raised her son so well.
He's thirty-four and drinking in a honky tonk.
Just kicking hippies a$$es and raising he!!.

Well,
M is for the mudflaps you give me for my pickup truck
O is for the Oil I put on my hair
T is for T-bird
H is for Haggard
E is for eggs, and
R is for REDNECK.

Up against the wall Redneck Mother,
Mother, who has raised her son so well.
He's thirty-four and drinking in a honky tonk.
Kicking hippies a$$es and raising he!!.

He's up against the wall Redneck Mother,
Mother, who has raised her son so well.
He's thirty-four and drinking in a honky tonk.
Just kicking hippies a$$es and raising he!!.

Did you notice in the pictures of the perps getting dragged away, they're smiling?
And I like the amazing tip-o'-ship.
Is it me, or did that thing seem to have almost 99% of it's hull above water?

Nice game, by the by..
Nothing like riding horses and throwing dead animals around.
(Actually sounds like it could be fun. But on the same hand, reminds me of little kids playing with dead birds.)

Meanwhile, elsewhere:

A Palestinian boy passes a mural of Osama Bin laden in the al-Bureq refugee camp in the Gaza Strip on Dec. 15, 2002. Palestinian President Yasser Arafat told bin Laden to stop claiming he was fighting for the Palestinians and dismissed Israeli charges that al Qaeda is active in the Palestinian territories.

Well-life over there certainly offers a look at barbaric games. It saddens me to think of animals being used for sport. But I know-it goes on here, too. Sad to me.

Flip side-love seeing the children marching into the 21st century. Musical repair shops, video game arcades, school, freedom to fly kites and watch TV-it heartens one.

Glad to see the osama pigs captured. Wish this happened daily. Wonder why one of the guards holding one of the jerks has his own face covered-that is a bit alarming.

Free the Kandahar Kanines--substitute the Bali Bomb Perps.

New game:

Bury Abu Musab Zarqawi, whose real name is Ahmad Fadhil al-Khalayle up to his neck and set the horsemen loose, swinging the Afghan instrument 'Rubab' in the new extreme sport, al Qaeda Polo.

Let's (make Khalayle's head) Roll!
