Crippled container ship
| The damaged container vessel Kariba drops anchor in Antwerp harbour on Sunday. A Norwegian ship with a cargo of almost 3,000 new cars sank in the English Channel on Dec 14 after a collision in thick fog with the Kariba. The ship, Tricolor, keeled over after the incident 35 km north of the French Channel port of Dunkirk, which is one of the world's busiest sea lanes. -- AFP |
