Leave Our Holidays Alone Sandra Hartle 12/12/2002
Every year at this time the atheist, and whoever, crawl out from whatever rock they hide under most of the time with their barrage of complaints about Christmas and the icons of the Christian Religion.
Well I have some news for you folks, this country was founded by Christians, and continues to be 85% Christian in it populous. That's right we are the majority. Not you. So I am going to write this article, and then I am going to make every effort I can to put an end to the minority running over the top of the majority in this country with their cries of fowl when it comes to anything Christian.
This means that 15% of the total populous of America is either some other religion, or they practice no religion at all. That of course is their choice and that choice is protected by the Constitution of this country. However, so are the rights of the remaining 85% of the populations rights protected by that same Amendment.
Let's look at what it says:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the

Of course this would be the view of those that, in ignorance, completely ignore the conquering Christ on the cross. Who made every day the Sabbath, because He is the Sabbath and we rest in Him and in the Sabbath each and every single day of our Christian lives. "Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. Col 2:20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, 21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not; 22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?" When Zacharias was serving in the Temple he was informed his wife was with child. When Mary visited Elizabeth, Elizabeth was six months pregnant, that places Jesus's conception on or about Dec. 25 placing Christs birth around September. We celebrate the conception of Christ, not his birth, though most men on the street would not know that. Are we as Christians entitled to celebrate the conception of Christ on our own, with no commandment from God to do so? "Mat 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. Yes we are entitled to celebrate Christmas in common with other Christians. As for the Christmas tree: "Ezek 17:22 Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will plant it upon an high mountain and eminent: 23 In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell. The cedar tree for us represents God's promised Saviour, ever living, we bring our gifts of gold and silver ornaments to give, as did the Wise men, we give gifts to each other, in love, and celebrate the gifts God has given to us. Is it all symbolic? Yes. Are we worshipping the tree? No. Do we have the right? Yes. Does it matter to us that some heathern use to worship trees, nail them and decorate them? No. So all desenters can back off our celebration, it's not about you anyway, has nothing to do with you at all. It is between Christians and our God and we need no one's approval, it's a family matter, respect it.
Thanks for the link. Amazing that a so-called Christian site like that above can be so deceived as to partake in occult feasts and even post the devil's horns handsign on their website. Amazing that such deception can still exist when there is so much information available. Surely they will be without excuse for their sin and blasphemy. The children of Israel in the Bible were deceived into worshipping Baal, Molech and other false gods. Those false gods are still worshipped today through various feasts adopted by the Christian church today. Yeshua said, "Ye know not what you worship." That applies today.
It is amazing too that an atheist, Sir Francis Dashwood, sees the hypocrisy and warns the Church but they will not hear.
The whole world should have taken note on November 1 when the headline read "Quake Kills 23 in Central Italy" and we saw the biblical number of death posted yet again. It cannot have been a coincidence that Jezebel's children died celebrating a satanic feast. Judgment starts at the house of G~d but doesn't end there. Those who believe must do so in a manner that reflects what G~d says rather than what the world says.
SAN GIULIANO DI PUGLIA, Italy An earthquake jolted south-central Italy on Thursday, sending a nursery school roof crashing down on a class of preschoolers during a lunchtime Halloween party. At least 23 people were killed, nearly all of them children at the school, firefighters said. ...Ro 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Re 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel [see post #20], which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
Lu 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
[repeated for emphasis]
Lu 13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Re 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Re 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
Just because someone is a Christian or a person who uses the basis of belief as a means to form an argument, I will not dismiss their argument as false if it is in a valid form of propositional and/or categorical logic. I will also not accept an argument as true based on a false interpretation of a body of literature (like the Bible). I have read the Bible.
It is also helpful to have an ability to read.
Secondly, 'fantasy is the medium of infinitization.' This idea comes from a Christian philosopher (Kierkegaard) who was the progenitor of existentialism in the West. Hobbes had similar observations: "...these are the images which are originally and most properly called ideas and idols, ..."
Funny, most existentialists unknowingly espouse a philosophy of Christian origin. Fantasy is also a form of idolatry. Think of the many idolatries of modern society, there are a myriad of them.
With all that said, there is more for you and others to learn. I have read a lot of books. I'm not the smartest guy in the world, but do like to share my opinions/observations. I am particularly interested in secular drama and the idolatries involved there. Think of television as a religion or a revival of Plato's Cave Allegory. I am also wondering what you think of this thread: Ethereal Explorations
