Trent Lott, in a conference call with 27 GOP Senate Republicans today, said that he would leave the Senate if forced from the Leader position.
Jonathan Karl said three or four of the Senators viewed this as "blackmail," but that the majority still support Lott and want him to continue as Leader.
The explosion of Rap and Hip Hop, from what I can gather.
None of these "conservatives" will touch that question with a 10 foot pole. They may be called "racist" and have to retire in sackcloth and ashes.
BLESS YOU!!!
I wanted so badly to fit it in there but couldn't come with something suitably snappy re: the size of the hat -- and feather ... Oooh Girl! -- needed to cover Mississippi "Big Hair"!
Kinda swanky pose there at the fencepost. I think this operation's gonna be a piece of cake.
No I suffer from the fact that blacks and the democrats have created a 6 trillion dollar plantation that feeds on the corpses of white republicans.
Does Lott have vision? He's politically blind. Its 40 years later and Pubs are still lucky to get 5% of the black vote.
And the amazing thing is that Black people as a whole have a lot more in common with the republican agenda than they do with the democratic agenda. Its just that blacks don't trust Republicans. And with statements like Lott made in addition to his segregationist past and his lame apology, its no wonder.
I'm not.
I'm using pictures from Google.
It's the safer way to go when dealing with folks for whom Appearance is Everything.
You have to be kidding.
The caption to yer pic Askel5,another freeper posted once......."All HAT and NO cattle!!"
Sorry, call 'em as I see 'em. Trent Lott has decimated any momentum the GOP had coming out of the '02 elections. The Democrats didn't cause this, although they are certainly taking full advantage of the opportunity to beat Trent over the head with the club he handed them. The fact that this guy has had to apologize 3 or 4 times before getting it right shows what a clueless, tone-deaf imbecile he really is. The only problem is, there was plenty of evidence to show Lott was an imbecile before this brouhaha took place.
Not to mention their extremely up-front take on population control and reduction -- at home and abroad -- as buried in their U.S. national defense policy documents and the Congressional Record.
I think it pays to remember that back when Gore, Kennedy, et al. were anti-abortion, it was primarily (if not soley) in recognition of abortion as a means to target Unwanted factions of society ... much less clearcut the undesirables who were overcrowding our access to minerals and other natural resources in Africa and Latin America.
Once the Stupid Party (the Democrats who, unlike the Evil Party never actually made abortion a National Policy) swallowed abortion as the zenith of freedom ... true hope and liberation being the ability of a mother, race or people to Off Their Own ... the Dems were in the clear to make abortion their rallying call.
And render votes perfectly predictable from there on out in the process.
That is, until the GOP came out of the closet with their ratification of Roe and passage of the Schumer Amendment among the sound and fury that was their Chinese Fire Drill bits of Parental Consent legislation to keep the troops busy and "winning" properly-defined Square Ones nationwide.
Reality sucks huh?
