What do you mean, may be a winner?
but call before you come becuz I've got a tenant with an active plumbing leak I need to get taken care of sometime today
Wouldn't this necessitate you going to fix the leak A.S.A.P.? LOL
Well, JessieLee and JakobSteve,
They were the best of FRiends.
So when JessieLee cried out, "JUSTICE or SHAME!!"
Jakey quickly sang out...MUD's boy could sing!!
We sang, "DemRATS are ALL Fools!!"
Up then walk'd a PUNK called "Macker!!"
MUD said, "Where's Ol' Slick, TerrieBoy?!
Yer loss shall be MUD's gain!!"
Well, MackerBoy, he sat right down
Drew his fingers to his chin,
Folks, with the bold eyes of Mudboy on him,
PUNK's head began to spin.
"Would ya please not stare at me like that," PUNK said,
"Mudboy, I know yer Right!!
Still, sometimes a man must be alone...
FReepers just won't let me hide."
Well, Mudboy, he just grinned )8^D!! and said,
"All right, I'll leave you here,
But you'd better hurry up and choose
Which of those bills you want,
Before they all disappear."
"I'm gonna start my quittin' right now,
Just tell me where you'll be."
Mudboy pointed down the road...
And said, "FerLiberty!!"
"FerLiberty?!!" said MackerPee,
Squeaky voice like a girls in FRight!!
"That's Right," said Mudboy Slim, "FerLiberty...
Good FReepers call it 'Paradise.'"
"I won't give you Slick, Mudboy!!"
Said McAuliffe oh so Vile....
"All Right," said Mudboy Slim,
"We'll FReep ya 'til ya RESIGN!!"
Well, MackerPUNK, he kneeled right down...
Terry kissed Ol'Mudboy's feet...
When just then a dude name Limbaugh...
Burst upon the scene,
Saying, "Are you Mudboy Slim, the Patriot,
Whose father captain'd ships?!
Well, if you are,
There's a fellow callin' you down the road
And they say his name is Slick."
"Woah, boy...Slick ain't MUD's FRiend,"
Said Mudboy Slim in fright,
"I do recall him very well,
In fact, he just left my sight."
"Yes, that's the one," said the stranger,
As quiet as a mouse,
"Well, my message is, he's down the road,
Stranded in a house."
Well, Frankie Lee, he panicked,
He dropped ev'rything and ran
Until he came up to the spot
Where Judas Priest did stand.
"What kind of house is this," he said,
"Where I have come to roam?"
"It's not a house," said Judas Priest,
"It's not a house . . . it's a home."
Well, WillieSlick, he trembled,
He soon lost all control
Over ev'rything which he had made
While the mission bells did toll.
He just stood there staring
At that big house as bright as any sun,
With four and twenty windows
And a woman's face in ev'ry one.
Well, up the stairs ran Frankie Lee
With a soulful, bounding leap,
And, foaming at the mouth,
He began to make his midnight creep.
For sixteen nights and days he raved,
But on the seventeenth he burst
Into the arms of Missuz MUD,
Which is where MUD quenched his thirst!!
(Mudboy HOOtin' on the Harp!!)
No one tried to say a thing
When they took him out in jest,
Except, of course, the little neighbor boy
Who carried him to rest.
And he just walked along, alone,
With his guilt so well concealed,
And muttered underneath his breath,
"Mudboy Made Slick SQEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAL!!!!"
Well, the moral of the story,
The moral of this song,
Is simply that one should never be
Where one does not belong.
So when you see your neighbor carryin' somethin',
Help him with his load,
And don't go mistaking Paradise
For that home across the road.
Work in progress...MUD

"In this season of giving, I hope all Americans will look for opportunities to donate and volunteer where the need is greatest. By reaching out to a neighbor in need, we make our country a more just and generous place. Our entire nation is also thinking at this time of year of the men and women in the military, many of whom will spend Christmas at posts and bases far from home. They stand between Americans and grave danger. They serve in the cause of peace and freedom. They wear the uniform proudly, and we are so proud of them. I have met with these idealistic young men and women across America and around the world. I know the sacrifices they make. And in every place they serve, they can know that they have the love of their families and the gratitude of their nation."
Keep up the good work, sir, have a Very Merry Christmas and git yerself healthy so I can pay off a coupla bets...MUD
"The first "Lord of the Rings" movie communicates perfectly what has happened in America. If you have seen it, you may know what I'm talking about. The prologue, which explains the history of Middle Earth and the Ring of Power, also explains how the people of Middle Earth forgot their history. It starts out, unraveling the history of how the people of Middle Earth were given different rings to rule their races, but no one remembers it: "Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it." The earth-shattering event [Morgoth] took place so long ago that no one remembers the history, as the prologue describes, "Some things that should not have been forgotten were. History became legend, legend became myth."
"Back to reality: In America, it has been so long since we have tasted tyranny, dictatorship, socialism and communism on a mass freedom-encroaching scale that we can't identify them. In fact, because of that, we can't even identify freedom!!! To what extent can the government be involved in our lives? Are we really free if the Internal Revenue Service can freely take 50 percent of what we earn? Should the government have the liberty to take that money and give it away to other people, namely internal and external government handouts? Is our society really free when the government wants to spy on us and observe our every action?"
Excellent article, IMHO...MUD
I used this yesterday on another thread . . . but one can't over-use a good and appropriate description.

Actually since we did unanimously elect a judge to oversee this affair, and since the venerable judge put so much effort to insure that this wager be conducted properly and fairly, I will wait for the official pronouncement before I declare myself the winner and begin gloating.
