Why? Why shoudl Trent Lott resign? Because teddy 'the drunk' kennedy and petey 'the I hate everything that aAmerica stands for' jennings, say so?

Not because of that. But, because he is an incopetent doofus. The Senate is becoming dispensable..the House works like trojans, the Senate does nothing to move the (good)legislation forward. And Lott is the Majority leader now...that is the penalty of winning the senate for the GOP! While we are at it, it would be great if we could also dump about 50 other senators on BOTH sides of the aisle, so the conservatives have a fighting chance to get things done for the good of the country.

BTW, watching Washington Journal just now, Brian Lamb said that Bush was AT the party where Lott made these remarks, and Lamb was questioning why Bush waited so long to react.

Bush was NOT there when these remarks were made. I hate inaccuracies in the press!
