Police: Stripper's Dad Goes On Rampage At Club

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- A Texas man is jailed after allegedly going on a rampage in a strip club after finding his daughter working there.

Witnesses say 41-year-old Lee Wayne Lawrence was dressed in survival gear when he was arrested unharmed at Maximus in Wichita Falls. Lawrence remained in the Wichita County Jail Monday under $500,000 bond, charged with aggravated assault.

Police say Lawrence entered the club Saturday night, destroyed furniture and was carrying what appeared to be a pipe bomb. Investigators say he damaged two 7-foot-tall water-bubble lamps and a leopard-skin chair and slashed three tables tops with a knife.

Investigators are still analyzing the device he carried to determine whether it could have detonated.

So he leaves and plots his revenge. He gets his pipe bomb (and I think the cops can tell if something is just a pipe or if it's supposed to be a bomb) and his "survival gear" on and goes back later.

95% of strippers (extremely unscientific) have abandonment and/or molestation issues with their fathers (or father figures). I would suggest that it is likely that this father's outrage came about a little late in life to help his daughter.

If it were my daughter, I would probably do the same thing. Yeah, you could call me nutty and all that, and say that she's an adult and can make her own decisions. You'd be right. And I would still be a dad on a rampage.

God help the man who puts my daughter on his stage as a stripper.

The problems with this story is that dad could have been wearing his deer or duck hunting camo(survival gear),The police spin(guilty untill proven otherwise), etc.

I mentioned that earlier. If you're wearing your hunting gear when you're not planning on hunting deer or duck, then it becomes "survival" gear.

But in this case, there's no question he's guilty of tearing up the place--there were plenty of witnesses, so it's not the police's word against his, and the "survival gear" term is probably the press's term, not the police's.

That was the reason I said "very unscientific". I have a good friend who dated a couple of topless dancers. Talking with these girls and the women they worked with and ultimately there were always serious "father issues". However, if I come across something more scientific I will pass it along.
