Maybe they played up the news in Japan of a NK ship in 1999 intercepted by the Indian navy en route to Pakistan with missiles.

Any Japanese info on this bust?

"It's time to to mine some North Korean ports and say ALL of them are mined...."

Even worse, we should mime their harbors with French street performers....

End destination, my guess:

Egypt or Libya or Syria.

"Horn of Africa" probably the direction the ship had to go, not the end destination. Unless Somaliland bought them... I doubt it.

Does that make any sense? What use would anybody in Africa have for Scuds?

IIRC, Somalia is a regular and valued customer of North Korean missiles.

Others: Sudan, Saudi Red Sea ports. CNN says intercepted
couple hundred miles SE of Yemen; so headed into the RedSea towards Suez. Or down the coast of Africa (doubtful).

The Palis couldn't be this stupid, could they. Never mind.

Google Search on "No Dong Missile" turns up this article from the World Tribune.com.

WASHINGTON — The United States has received intelligence reports that North Korea delivered 24 No-Dong intermediate-range missiles to Egypt in the last half of 2001.

The ship was stopped Monday by two Spanish warships during a coalition maritime intercept. A Spanish crew boarded and began inspecting the cargo, which was supposed to be cement.

Nice to know who's on our side in this mess. !Viva Espana!

I just posted this on the other thread, but I think it bears repeating: Thanks, Spain. Glad you called the US and NOT the UN!
