Britian's pampered pooches, such as this pack of golden retrievers, can look forward to unwrapping expensive presents from Santa, with owners set to spend 27 million pounds on their furry friends this year, a survey has found. REUTERS/Ian Hodgson

BUMP for our British allies and their pampered pooches!

The "Inspectors" are led blindfolded through scrapyards while Iraqi soldiers snicker and pee on them from catwalks above.

That's inspection the wrong way.

Inspection the right way is a B-2 visit from Santa to three dozen "palaces", followed by SEAL teams inserted under the watchful eye of AC-130 gunships.

When we end the current farce, drop the hundred Hollywood letter writers and Jimmah Benedict Cahtuh on Baghdad, each duct-taped to a BLU-118 thermobaric Hall Mark Greeting Card.

Smiley Two-Moles in the portraits is the gasser of thousands--wrap him in bacon and bring him back to the Crawford ranch for bar-be-que.

Now here's a very frightening combination of acronyms:

PMS...
and
SAW ("Squad Automatic Weapon")!!!

Be AFRAID, Jihaddists;
Be VERY afraid!

I wonder what the eternal fate of one of these Jihad "martyrs" is supposed to consist of if he gets whacked back to Allah by a Woman!?

I don't see this Heroine (if I may be permitted the use of such an archaic term) donning a burqua any time soon.

Seriously though; I speculate that the situation for a female combattant might be similar to that of a Union "Soldier of Color" fighting in the American Civil War;
Should things go sour for their Unit, "surrender" is NOT an option they would even want to consider.

In one of the oft-rerun video clips of AlQuida in training, we notice their distinctive black flag. Now at one time, the "Black Flag" was tacticly significant; It meant, on no uncertain terms, that "No Quarter" or option of live capture would be granted the Enemy - and by the same token, none expected should their enemy prevail.

For hundreds, if not thousands of years of Military tradition, the appearance of a black flag on a battlefield signalled the onset of an extremely ferocious and bloody engagement, in which no prisoners were taken. The term "Massacre" is frequently used by later Historians to describe them.
The only options for those engaged were Victory or death - or possibly escape for a few very lucky non-winners.

One Military Historian who studies the history of the British Empire and it's escapades in the Middle East writes us (and perhaps someone here could verify or expand on this) that during the First Afghan War a British expiditionary Force of about 15,000 men found things going badly for them, and began a retreat from Kabul South towards their base in India.

Only ONE (1) bedraggled Redcoat apparently managed to make it back to India alive. I'll bet that HE had some PTSD to deal with!

The same Historian speculates that those 1853 Enfield Rifle-Muskets shown in the last edition being sold in Afghanistan may well be some of the few remnants of that British Unit - those and some well bleached bones out in the desert somewhere.

Those Iraqi "soldiers" (and here I DO use the term between quotation points loosely, Bob - hope you don't mind) during DS where not the "black flag" crowd; when and if our Troops should ever meet the latter in Battle, I would hope that they take the color of their flag very seriously... for I have little doubt but what the bearers of said black standard WILL.
