You have an odd sense of humor to continually and relentlessly bash anything President Bush says, does or thinks. That is your FR legacy, Coleus.
Your comments on this thread were no joke and you know it. Time for you to be quiet, sit down, and eat your peas. They're getting cold.

As opposed to "unto us a Savior is Born"
Psalms nice neutral prayers

Psalms nice neutral prayers Well, that's really sad. I'm sorry you feel that way about God's Word. I thought ALL of it was powerful.
I leave this thread, this is hideous.

All of Gods word IS beautiful..but this is Christmas..a Christain NT quote reflecting the Holiday would have been appropriate

I don't know where you've been but I've heard President Bush speak of Christmas and Jesus a number of times. When and where? I have NEVER heard him publically say out loud the name of Jesus never ...he uses politically correct language..now if it was not for the public Islamic and Jewish religious services at the White House I would just assume it was a political necessity..I do not assume that now

Amen and Amen!!

I got our White House Christmas Card last weekend before all of the publicity and figured it was another RNC request for cash. I tore it open and found the beautiful card. I was dismayed that I tore the envelope. My spirits were bouyed however when we received a second one. I'm treating this one better.

While I cannot offer exact dates and times, I can say I heard him speak of Jesus Christ on FOX tidbits of news.

Did you hear the President at the Christmas tree lighting? Did you hear him last night at Christmas in Washington?
He talked about how the birth in Bethlehem changed and brought hope to the world, or words to that effect.
How specific does he have to get to convince you of his faith?
He is a deeply committed Christian and he and Laura sent a beautiful card.

Wow! Did you hit the nail on the head with the ignorance of posters on this thread!
To complain that the Old Testament is not about Jesus is to openly admit ignorance of the basics of Scripture.......not to mention patently absurd.

What about the Republican Iowa Primary when he was running for office. They asked what philosopher had the most influence on his life he said -out loud--"Christ, because he changed my life."
Also, please refer to the interview he gave Peter Jennings (I think --one of the network news guys) at the very beginning of his term where he talks very candidly about spending each morning reading the bible and being in prayer.
And, of course, in the written word, he is VERY explicit about his faith in his book "A Charge to Keep" in the chapter about turning 40 and turning his life around.
If you think GWB has not publicly claimed Christ, you have not been paying attention.

If I were to try to ascertain from your posts which one is a true believer and follower in Jesus Christ.....you or President Bush, based on his words and his life.....I would pick the president hands down.
By their fruits ye shall know them.

Are you actually saying that the Old Testament is not about Jesus? Are you denying Messianic texts? Are you denying the Trinity?
Anyone who says that an Old Testament text is inappropriate on a Christmas Card is ignorant of the Word of God.
