"Militia" is probably the best word to describe what these groups are......and aren't the citizens somewhat of a govorning body anyway? After all, it is "we the people" and not "the government or state the people".

I know a lot of people overlook that little inconvenience but it is there in black and white. One of the first actions of the founders was to bring the militia under federal control to be used to quell attempted revolutions of which they knew something about. I dont know what to call these guys other than dead meat the moment they step over the line from observers to assuming some type of police powers on their own.

I prefer to call these patrols and would correct the media every time they tried to call me a militia. The media is trying to frame these people as out of control mad-men. They are simply patroling the property. They are not acting as military troops.
