Hmmm. Another tempest in a teapot. Ho hum.
Is it my imagination, or are Jesse Jackson's teapots getting smaller?

It would be alright with me if Trent started waving the confederate battle flag.

Why not have congress pass a "speech police" law, and you can be the enforcer? After all, you are playing the part well in your sophomoric drama.Congress isn't supposed to police speech, but the Republicans are supposed to police themselves. If Trent Lott is out of line, he should be punished by the party.

Lott should go.

"Are you in favor of racial segregation?"Better you should ask Blacks if they favor racial segregation. You'd be surprised at the responses.

Well, on second thought, if Jesse Louis Jackson, Sr., asks Trent to step down, he just might do so. Trent wants everybody to like him!

Tell us about the first Mrs. LIEberman. I must have missed that in all the 2000 election coverage. Did she also have a very whiny voice?
To: ewing
I respectfully request that the "Reverend" Jackson rescind his membership in the human race. G'wan. Git.

I agree. Trott is a fool and those who think the Thurmond on old was a good guy are idiots or worse. The fact that JJ criticizes you is not sufficient reason for us to jump on your bandwagon.

Watch for Jesse Louis Jackson, Sr., Miss Donna Brazile, Mrs. Maxine Waters, and Mr. James Carville to begin a weeklong boast of the reelection of LA's Landrieu and the new Democrat House member, Mr. Alexander. The GOP took a licking in LA -- Terrell was weaker in retrospect that Louis "Woody" Jenkins had been in 1996. And the Alexander victory means a net loss of one House seat for the GOP. The Dems won't let us forget it. Remember, when the Americans fought to a draw in the War of 1812. Yet, the battle of New Orleans, coming two weeks after the Treaty of Ghent, made the Americans feel that they had won the war. I bet the Dems will be saying that the second battle of New Orleans now gives them a moral victory in the elections of 2002.

I think that you are right about what Tent meant by his statement but the Dems will twist and lie about it. After all with the LA Senate win they think they have a mandate. I think Terrell did well considering how out numbered the party is in that state. And of course we don't know how honest some of those polls were either. Jackson plays the race card every chance he gets.

Of that is in such bad taste, IMHO. Jesse, a deeply spiritual man by his own account, was troubled severely by this for at least twenty minutes before absolving himself in the name of his father's son. His spiritual recovery was nothing short of miraculaous.

I'm all for it. Shoving races or religions together is the leading cause of Death. Segregated and equal would lead to a peaceful society so long as the race baiting warmongers were dealt with swiftly.
To: ewing
Hermann the Cherusker is issuing a statement calling Jackson a race-baiting jerk, and asking him to exit public life for a second time, and this time for a much longer period than his last five day exit.
