Authorities say ring made drugs in Mexico, then distributed them at a Westside car lot.
Authorities cracked down on one of central Indiana's largest methamphetamine trafficking organizations Friday, arresting 25 people and searching 14 homes.
The multiagency investigation found that the organization was trafficking more than 100 pounds of methamphetamine a month out of a Westside auto dealership.

They might as well just legalize it now that trucks from Mexico can enter and travel around the US freely. No sense fighting a WOD that isn't going to have much effect, it's not worth the costs.

This kind of thing is all too common. It seems like every state has a serious problem with this "dummy dust".It's really unfortunate US citizens don't listen to the wisdom of programs like "DARE" and anti-drug films we all get shown growing up in school.Meth is a truely evil substance, and the people who make the stuff are motivated purely by quick profits-anyone trafficking in the stuff has completely sold their soul.Part of the solution is for people to make others aware of it's dangers and like you said, how it makes users lose their minds and ethics.

You call it a "consulate." Presidente Fox calls it a "distribution center."

Biker gangs that were pushed out of this business deserve reparations. The meth labs and distributors in the US are caught and shut down only to allow a foreign organized crime group which can operate freely inside Mexico to take over the production and distribution. They get help from their government, it doesn't really seem fair. There's more meth than ever.

Well, well, now we know what the Mexican Consulate is doing in Indianapolis. It's the center that is shipping all that Meth to other parts of the country.
I know that Americans are using that stuff and of course you tried to blame it on the US with the rural having a HUGE problem, but have you wondered how many AMERICAN STUDENTS have been helped into the drug habit by these wonderful criminals in our nation. I would think that just one student would be too many.
They put some of them in jail but all the illegals should be out of there and then you would not need the Mexican Consulate.
Yes we will certainly pound sand especially the spot that you have your head hidden in.

This is probably the one drug we don't want to legalize. Its use would be as common as coffee-drinking, and what's left of this country would truly go over the deepend.

And guess who uses Meth the most? Low income people. And it just happens that largest increase of low income people in Indianapolis are Mexican immigrants and illegal aliens....
I knew a Mexican illegal alien, who was so strung out on meth, that his fingernails were turning black, and he could pull his teeth out with his fingers, as his gums and teeth were made so weak and rotted from the drug.
I found out later, that his brain met the same fate, after he shot and killed a store clerk, he broke into someones home running from the law, and blew his brains out in their bathroom

And guess who uses Meth the most? Low income people. Exhausted, employed soccer-moms are taking to it like ducks to water.

Ha ha. Good point-couldn't the biker gangs sue under WTO provisions? I blame this all on Clinton's grand NAFTA plan, and he should be named in any possible suit as well.I'm not ready to call every Mexican in this country a dope pusher, but there is certainly a goodly number of both legals and aliens who choose to ply this trade. The sad thing is,US citizens are buying. If that was not the case, there would be no market for their product.Meth is a worthless scourge that causes much harm, and causes people to lose their ethical common sense.

Exhausted, employed soccer-moms are taking to it like ducks to water.Actually, that may have been the case in the late 80s or so, not any longer. Nowadays, it's mostly down and outers, gutter suckers, jail jockeys and others with little or no money.

We have had a meth problem in this state for at least 7 years. If you look at the total arrest records, most are whites. The meth problem preceded the influx of Mexican workers.
And as a side-note, you will note that these people were NOT protected, they were ARRESTED.
Now, go back to your happy Mexican-bashing with Joe Hadenuf. I refuse to participate, I stand by my opinions, and you, too, can go pound sand.

The facts really bother you, don't they?
To: Miss Marple
The reason it was produced in Mexico instead of Indianapolis is that a critical component, red phosphorus, is nearly impossible to acquire in the US anymore.
The anhydrous method of production is now also practically shutdown by the DEA.
Mexico and Canada offer easy-to-obtain critical ingredients.

In my own area it is indeed low income rural people who seem to use it the most.I'm guessing that stems from a combination of poor schools and drug education and lack of economic opportunitys. When they find out they can make fast money cooking the stuff in their backyard shed or barn they figure it's better than starving.About a year ago I stopped in a rural store outside of my hometown and the girl working the gas pumps asked my friend and I if we could see the license plate of a small truck that had just left the parking lot.We looked and it was just out of sight, and she told us the guy had been driving a different vehicle in every week or so and buying every single carton of book matches they had.She said she had instructions from the store owner to record his license number as the local cops had told them meth cooks cut all the heads off the matches in order to use them in the process of making the stuff. The cops have store owners looking out for strange purchases like this one all over our state, which happens to be one of the top states for meth production.

No, the facts don't bother me. They arrested a bunch of Mexicans who were trying to sell meth. Where have I disputed that?
We had a meth problem here before the Mexicans came. They were attempting to contribute to the problem. The police arrested them. I am glad they were arrested.
What part of this is something you wish to dispute?
To: txflake
The reason it was produced in Mexico instead of Indianapolis is that a critical component, red phosphorus, is nearly impossible to acquire in the US anymore. The chemicals for meth can easily be smuggled into the states, and they routinely are. In this case, it seems like they opted for the cheaper labor, south of the border.

Where did I bash law abiding, Mexican citizens? Why do you treat me as the enemy?
To: Drippy
She said she had instructions from the store owner to record his license number as the local cops had told them meth cooks cut all the heads off the matches in order to use them in the process of making the stuff. Cops told 'em wrong. The striking surface on a match book is made of red phosphorus, which you can no longer obtain in this country.

Because you bashed the law-abiding, Mexican citizens of Indianapolis in the last thread on which we were engaged, inferring that they were illegals.
I take people as individuals. There is good and bad in every racial and ethnic group. I never see you posting anything positive about Mexicans, you craft your posts with antipathy towards Mexician immigrants in general, and it would be pretty hard NOT to see you as anti-Mexican in general.
You are not my enemy. You are, however, the enemy of solving the illegal immigrant problem in a rational way.
