Rhanks for that great report. I too live in a Republican beighborhood so I expected out turnout would be high. After voting early this morning I've spent the day on the phone or getting others to the polls. Not too many polling places would talk numbers but all seemed to agree voting had been on par or slightly higher than on 5 Nov.
Have fun at Suzie's celebration tonight. I gave up doing those things years ago, I'm always too anxious so I stay close to the TV, radio and this computer. LOL

Yes, he is very determined to preserve his viability in that election --against Daschle, or more likely, to fill the open seat vacated in 2004 by Daschle's retirement.
Personally, I wish he were more interested in having the Senate use the FBI indictments to refuse to seat Johnson at least as a permanent member, perhaps making him only a provisional member, and then when the indictments come down, just boot Johnson and have the Senate declare Thune the winner and seat him.

Question, is most of LA on paper, punch or electronic ballots?
Also does NE come as late as Chicago does to see how many votes ned to be ginned up?
